clt says toyota has bigly engine issues. no more turbo charged 6’s!
Their reliable engines made too much pollution, according to the FedGov and CAFE. Now you get to buy even more expensive and less reliable engines that work at higher temps .
Heat load and pressure fatigue is an engine killer.
I think I’m gonna start small and get a battery powered lawn mower before I jump to an battery powered automobile.
I will say my electric yard tools of ego are awesome! Just so much easier.
I do have a Ryobi weed eater so I’m going to look into them but open to any brand at the moment.
Im in the ego fam - chain saw, blower, weed eater, trimmer, push mower - all good.
The weedeater has a self winding function that is worth the price.
For a typical suburban lot, electric yard tools are hard to beat. Just so much easier.
If you have a jungle though, get gas powered. The cutting power is not the same.
It’s true, I’ve played with my friends electric tools and they’re great for suburbia. Those chainsaws are a blast. They don’t have enough juice for the farm though.
Yeah I’m at an acre and I have 4 batteries and have to plan what happens when especially during the spring.
clt says just hire an ohio u grad to mow your lawn
Highly recommend this. When I bought my house, I went with battery power everything. Ended up having to get a gas snow thrower as the battery snow blower wasn’t quite enough for the drift that forms on my driveway. The battery powered ones were so smooth a quiet that the gas power took a bit of getting used to again.
In fairness, I don’t know why they couldn’t have the same data on ICE vehicles now too…
I figured all newer cars have some sort of “black box” that insurance companies can draw data from when analyzing claim requests. Location data would be one data element.
Another reason why I may never buy a new car. LOL
I’m guessing Norway being roughly the size of Montana has something to do with Norway’s higher EV adoption.
