Watched this and agree. Although the soundtrack is eerily similar to Inception (albeit same composer) and seemed weirdly placed at times. Kept expecting a train to drive through the middle of the screen.
Enders Game- ugh. Harrison Ford and a bunch of kids battle space ants. Why are kids the ones battling space ants? Good question. The movies answer is lol bad imo. I understand the book is like a sci fi classic so i’m sure fan bois were rightly pissed about this one.
Watched “You’re Next” the other night to scare the lady. Basic bait and switch who’s the killer. Was a nice change as far as the usual BS horror flick.
Aliens. Enjoyed it. Can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to see the whole thing.
Bill Paxton is pretty much the best part of the entire movie.
Game over man!

“We’re all gonna die man! We’re all gonna die!”
American Hustle- I thought it was good but a bit overrated. Thats not really the movies fault though. Its a bit long and “talky”, but J Law and Bale more than make up for it. Louis CK is in it too so it really had no choice but to be good. Seriously though, Lawrence is pretty amazing in this and steals ever scene she’s in.
Godzilla is really stupid.
Perfect example of theater experience vs. watching it at home on your couch. I actually enjoyed it, it was probably my 3rd favorite movie of the summer (Guardians, Apes).

Falls into the same category as Cloverfield and Prometheus, such a spectacle that you can’t have a bad time watching at theater but loses a lot when you watch it on a tv.
I doubt I would have enjoyed it in theaters either, but I can understand why it would hold more appeal there.
“Broken City” with Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe. Just mediocre for me. I like a movie with a good twist. But I felt like this one tried too hard. As a result had too many, unnecessary twists. Plus, I felt like Crowe was using a Boston accent in an attempt for a New York accent.
Watched this Saturday night. Made me feel really shitty to be a white person eventhough my ancestors didn’t come over until the 1910’s.

I’m sure they had slaves wherever they came from so the shittyness was justified.
I watched Whip It last night. I kinda have a weird thing for Ellen Page. I dunno. Kristen Whig is in it too and I have a weird thing for her as well. I’m a complicated guy.
It was pretty good. Made me want to go watch womens roller derby. Also, Owen Wilson has ANOTHER brother not named Luke and hes in this thing also. Sounds identical to Owen in a very distracting sort of way.

Saw Godzilla a few weeks ago. Easily one of the worst movies I’ve seen in years. Glad I didn’t spend any money on seeing it.

My family was German and Polish, little bit of English. I’m going to bet there was no slave owning.
I’m half Irish, half Portuguese. Half of me starved on blighty potatoes, half of me was a huge slave owner.
I think that explains a lot of the internal conflict I have/voices I hear.
My heritage likely does not have any slave ownership. It does, however, have Loyalists and Mason blood.
Thor 2 - total shitburger. Ether? Evil Elves? This is the worst franchise of the marvel group imo.
It wasn’t that bad to me, just very boring.
