I find the entire royal family thing to be archaic, irritating, ridiculous and frankly offensive. (But I guess they are good for the tourism business so they probably are worth it.).
But I do find the series interesting and well made.
Iāve watched the entire Crown. I enjoyed it, especially the first couple of seasons as I wasnāt as familiar with the history. Yes, a lot of it was fiction, but the major historical events did happen so it was cool to see that. I wasnāt as in to the last couple seasons since I lived through that. I did notice the last season the writers seemed intent on making Charles out to be a better person/dad. Also, I wish we got more of Harryās story, but with a different actor.
Suits was great. Luis Litt was the the best character, imo. Iām on season two of Reacher now and really like it. The second season is a little darker.
If youāre like my wife and I, in general we like different styles of shows. Having said that, there are a few shows that weāve found a common ground and watch together. Justified, The Crown, Jake Ryan, Lupin, Homeland, Billions are a few of them.
The wife and I watched the first episode of Reacher tonight and was okay enough to get us to watch episode 2 tomorrow prob. Weāll see. A good sign the wife hasnāt vetoed yet.
And Luis Litt is an awesome character and his mannerisms and anger outburst are hilarious. We were sad to finish that show. Great writers.
The big issue is when you primarily stream, you either a) pay for no commercials, or b) only see commercials for the services you have (i.e. Hulu wonāt have Netflix advertisements).
I think I saw a commercial for this on the Roku channel (watching Coach). Otherwise, I havenāt heard much about it.
I saw an add for it not sure where. But it was on TV or a streaming service.
I put this down on my too watch list.
Iām a Clive Owen fan.
If you guys have not seen it highly recommend āThe Knickā with him. That came out a few years back on Cinemax. From Steven Soderburgh. Really really good period drama.
Has anyone been watching True Detective every season? I watched the first season and started the second season, when they originally aired, then I lost interest. It seemed too āweirdā to me. But they keep putting out new seasons and they seem to keep getting good reviews. Itās one of those shows where it feels like I should like it, so debating about picking it back up with season 3.
