Front row seat? :face_with_tongue:

No. They filmed that after I was done filming at the bar. Here’s a pic of me in that scene prior to the banging in the back room. This was filmed in Monroe.

That’s pretty cool. Did you get to talk with Homelander (Antony Starr)?

No. It’s politely discouraged from talking or interacting with “the talent “. However, I was an extra in another straight to video production and Naomi Judd spoke to me!

That kind of sucks given that it looks like you were sitting pretty close to him. Oh well, them’s the rules I guess. Still cool.

Love that series ! I’ve watched it through about three times. Love the cast and local spots they used.

Anybody watching this? Amazon Prime dumped all episodes on release day. Nic Cage as a combo Noir Detective / Spider-Man. Cool concept. You also have the choice of watching it in color or B&W.

Watched the first 2 episodes last night. So far so good.

It has an 8.3/10 score on imdb and 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. Seems to be a hit.

Stumbled across the Netflix series “Dark” and highly recommend. It’s a German series, so I’m watching the English dubbed version with subtitles, which makes it interesting sometimes. The plot revolves around four interconnected families in the fictional town of Winden as they uncover a time-travel conspiracy spanning generations. When two children disappear near a local nuclear power plant, the mystery unravels into a fatalistic loop where the past, present, and future are deeply entwined. This is one where one has to watched closely and can’t really be scrolling on their phone as they watch as the series gets complicated rather quick. I’ve enjoyed the first several episodes and am still trying to figure out what’s going on.

It seems like everyone who has watched that really likes it.

I tried a few years ago but I dont think I made it past the first episode. I barely remember it. May have to try again. It did seem to get compared to Stanger Things though the Dark fans said it was much better.

On a different note - is anyone watching the Cape Fear miniseries on Apple TV? Stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, & Patrick Wilson.

Made the mistake of trying to watch it with my older teenagers. Wasn’t anything they couldn’t handle themselves but it made them uncomfortable to watch with parents. So probably will be finishing this one with just Mrs NA, assuming we finish it. FWIW I liked the 1991 DeNiro film. I am a little dubious of dragging the story out so long. It seems like a bunch of what theyve added so far is more R rated shock material and not much story.

I watched Dark a few years ago. It was good.

I’ve about wrapped up the first season and my head is spinning. I think I have who is who in the three different times lines figured out and then I realize I was wrong the entire time. I’ve read the series stays good so looking forward to finishing it out.

I feel like I learned something about German personalities from that show. I can’t remember the lesson though.

I decided to give it another shot, but with closed captions on this time. I’m digging it now that I can follow Oldman’s dialogue.

I’ll probably give Peaky Blinders another shot too, using closed captions.

We do closed captioning for both of those. Any UK based show to be honest. It’s an absolute must for Peaky Blinders.

Agree with Peaky Blinders. I use closed captioning for pretty much everything these days. I find I pick up on subtle things that I would have missed otherwise.

My youngest has gotten me hooked on captions for almost everything except sports

I’m pretty good at understanding English in any accent. But my wife needs subtitles for accents speaking English.

One of my favorite TV personalities ever. Yes, he has numerous faults, but he always makes me laugh and even occasionally makes me think.

Yeah, that sucks. Hopefully they’ve caught it in time. I do know that type of cancer has a high survival rate if caught early enough. Oh well, I guess I know what the last couple of episodes of season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm will be about.
