UAB postgame

Offense sputtered out over the last 7 minutes or so, was ours to win and we didn’t make the winning plays.

2 Lester layups and we win. Got hung TWICE? Embarrassing. The second one he jumped from way too far out. Damn.

Clayton makes his FT we win

We get blocked a lot. Henry is more turnover prone than usually this last half of the season it seems. 13 turnovers in 2 games. Why was the Henry foul call not a charge that the officials reviewed. He looked to be outside the circle.

Overall, we played a lot better than previous games. Just a really bad offensive last 8 minutes of the game. Crowd was good but not great. Better than the past couple home games. Was a church day so that helped alot.

Why the hell didn’t we wear our black uniforms?

Willie had two points and four fouls. Most importantly, he was 0-5 from the FT line. Sometimes he can be a real liability.

UAB kept trying to give it to us with all of their missed free throws… and it took 2 timeouts by us at the end of the game to draw up a turnover. :o

Good baseball game today though with the Niners winning in extra innings.

That was the last nail in Major’s coffin and maybe Judy’s as well. I’m a supporter of Judy but you have to take responsibility for your actions. Extending two coaches that you should not have done if you had doubts about them, and you should have had doubts in both situations, carries responsibilities that have to be addressed. I think that it’s time for us to let Judy retire and collect her rewards for what she has accomplished for the school, but it’s time for someone else to make these decisions on hiring coaches. Thanks for what you have done for us Judy and enjoy a well deserved retirement.

I disagree it’s the nail in the coffin. A loss is a loss but the basketball on the court today was far better than the past 8 games. The nails in the coffin are from the other 200+ rpi horrible playing losses.

Shouda’ started Lester.

The Head Coaches of Women’s B-Ball, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Tennis, and Softball have to love this. No one will say to fire them for not making NCAA’s because people are pre-occupied with AM’s potential firing.
And is IMG stupid? Women’s & Men’s B-ball on TV at the same time. We get so few TV appearances, why schedule them together, when if they were back to back, we could watch both.
Too bad baseball went extra innings. It made some late for the B-Ball game.

Judy is not going anywhere unless she retires. She has a fieldhouse with her name on it so she can plan her own retirement when she is ready. I noticed that she was cheering and into the game more today than at most games. I think Major has made it very hard for her not to pull the trigger and fire him after the season. She cannot go into next season with the same players and coaches and expect different results.

Sorry, Metro, but that’s the way it is.

I wish my whole Screen Blackout, so I didn’t watch the humiliation on National Television… Not even sure why I watch this anymore…

Not! Today’s loss was 100% on the players. 29% from the field in the 2nd half, that won’t beat anybody as we have seen. Instigation does us no good.

a baker’s dozen posters three hours after a miserable loss. pathetic!

Don’t care. Just don’t care. My apathy with our basketball has hit an all time high. Blame it on players, coaches, ad, the location of the moon and stars - doesn’t matter. I’m just done.

Run out of ways to say “I hate Judy” and “I hate Major” I guess.

Good thing Cherry’s name is Ben.

Ben a long time since he made a three. ;D

I went to a craft beer festival today. Walked my dog, hung around with some friends on the riverwalk. Got some mexican food afterwards. It was a great afternoon. And it didnt involve charlotte basketball. Got some texts from SteauA that said we lost. Didnt surprise or phase me. This is the low point in my fandom. I’m not the only one.

The good: Thorne did well on the boards and Ingram regained his shot, at least temporarily.

The bad: turnovers and missed free throws continue to plague us. The key to both is focus, which is something we sorely lack.

The ugly: we couldn’t finish aroung the rim. Remained me of how we played 2 seasons ago. We made strides last year, but we’ve really regressed during the second half of this season.

I keep waiting for us to turn the corner, but now I wonder if we’ll win another game this season.

Only 11 turnovers. So much better to watch a game with 11 turnovers compared to 20. But our turnovers are wtf bad. But 11 turnovers today, I say that should be in the good section.
