UAB postgame
The Head Coaches of Women’s B-Ball, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Tennis, and Softball have to love this. No one will say to fire them for not making NCAA’s because people are pre-occupied with AM’s potential firing.
And is IMG stupid? Women’s & Men’s B-ball on TV at the same time. We get so few TV appearances, why schedule them together, when if they were back to back, we could watch both.
Too bad baseball went extra innings. It made some late for the B-Ball game.
Well we did just fire the volleyball coach, and at least 18 of our games have been (will be) on TV, but other than that…

I know how the AD Foundation can raise $. At the Annual Fund-Raiser in June, they can auction off each one of us to the highest bidding ACC school. We can fake fandom for the ACC school that buys our B-Ball loyalty for next year. Use the proceeds to buy a new coach.

168 rpi.

Un freakin believable

:o

If Major gets fired doesn’t that give the players we have recruited in a free pass out? No waiting to play at another school?

This season ended after we lost to UTSA.

2K, do we have any promising/probable recruits lined up for 2 seasons from now?

4-8 in last 12 games. wow

Losing to Davidson for the first time ever at Halton foreshadowed what was to come. Everything has been wrong since that game. McKillop wrote the playbook on how to beat us. Attack the rim on offense and double our big men on defense.

clt says our team went downhill when Henry decided that he was a jump shooter.
clt says our team went downhill when Henry decided that he was a jump shooter.
4ever niner says that actually Henry has a decent shot now. So many reasons the team has gone downhill.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Davidson loss was hard to believe at the time. However, it foreshadowed what was to come.

I didn’t even know the game was on TV. This might be the first time ever we have been on TV and I didn’t watch. On the bright side, only 4 more games and we are done for the season. BUT, losing to ECU, if it happens, and it looks like a real possibility, SHOULD be the final straw.

No, the NLI is with the school, not the coach. As 2k said, it’s up to the AD to release anyone from it. Sometimes incoming freshmen will be allowed out, but usually not anyone else already on the roster. If Henry graduates this spring, he could transfer under the loophole rule, though.

As for the game yesterday, frustrating to watch at times. We only had 11 turnovers, but some of them just make you shake your head because they were just very unnecessary. The two missed dunks by Lester from jumping too far away, and TWill missing two bunnies from rushing his shot/thinking it was going to get blocked both hurt. The effort was there, which I had questioned of late seeing us get torched at home a couple of times. Just couldn’t get out of our own way. And wouldn’t you know there’s a player from Charlotte on the other team with a chip on his shoulder that seals the win for them. Lost count of how many times that seems to have happened over the years. Hopefully we can put together a couple of wins and get some mojo before going to El Paso for the tourney. Unlike most on the board, I still care and want this team to succeed. We have the talent, we just simply have to execute better.

X pretty much summed up my feelings as well. Thought the effort was there Saturday. Unfortunately same result. All I want is for Niner bb to be meaningful.

This team does not do a single thing well. They are bad at everything! Whenever we actually have solid defensive/offensive possession I’m actually surprised. They are pretty much unwatchable yet I watch because it’s unconditional. Nothing I can do about it at this point.

I very much expect us to lose out.

Well, they are doing it." I haven’t been able to find anywhere that being inside
or outside the circle is a reviewable call. Of course, its on the coaching staff to know that and stop it before it happens. If Henry was outside the circle anyway and the play was non reviewable in the first place, then I think something other than that call needs to be reviewed, namely the future status of those particular gentlemen who worked this game.

Call is reviewable- I think I’ve seen it reserved several times this year alone. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

I. personally, have not seen it reviewed in college, but I don’t spend a great deal of time watching games. I have seen a number of times when it was very questionable and was not
reviewed.
