So wait, Alyssa Brown is calling Houston a college town? The fourth most populous city in the US is a college town? What is her definition? Even worse, she went to Charlotte for her masters. Even, even worse, she went to VA Tech, who did exactly what we have just done. I think you canât fix stupid.
As far as South Carolina goes, letâs just beat them. They will know who we are.

What I understood is that she thinks this: The name of the school and the brand and what it calls its teams should be consistent. One way to fix this would be to change the official school name to University of Charlotte. Makes sense to me.
She does note that in cases like Louisville, Memphis etc, the âUniversity ofâ is implied. We canât imply something that does not yet exist.
Hopefully, some of us at least will still be alive when the official school name becomes University of Charlotte.
