I actually like some of Tupac’s stuff.
That’s because he’s the best rapper of all time.

okay. you win.
Apparently you didn’t just read those ICP lyrics… here’s a recap:
Water, fire, air and dirt
f***ing magnets, how do they work?
And I don’t wanna talk to a scientist
Y’all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed
And NA, with all due respect, sometimes you come off as a real music snob.
NA, if something so petty as the reasons for females being at their concert is enough to make you not like a band…
…then the fact that just a few years ago they were practicing in Rowe Arts should be enough to make you like them!
Holy shit this has me in hysterics right now… the video with commentary!
NSFW!
[quote=“NinerAdvocate, post:130, topic:22382”]Yeah, I’m sure it’s super cool to be dismissive of The Trapeze Swinger or anything Elliott Smith wrote, but saying that Avett Brothers song is even remotely in that league is absolutely ridiculous.
The other songs I posted weren’t intended to be great. They were just illustrative of the point that most of the songs on my random playlist are on par with Laundry Room, as you pointed out.
Avett Bros fans tickle me… there’s no denying the Jonas vibe there. They’re the alt.country Jonas Bros.
NOT THIS

I was drinking heavily at the time… its just not a high energy music to keep you going if you’re intoxicated.
It’s what I am. I can’t even claim it’s an act. But in all honesty, I don’t hate music cause it’s suddenly popular. So, I’m like a serious, well intentioned snob (and therefore unsufferable). And if you saw me in person, the last thing I’d be mistaken for is some kind of hipster.

Hawthorne Heights is still around?
Wow.
Anybody heading to speed street this year? I’m thinking about going on the Friday night that Everclear plays.
Hopscotch Music Festival September 9-11 in Raleigh.
http://hopscotchmusicfest.com/
Over 100 bands, Broken Social Scene, Public Enemy and Panda Bear are the headliners. $85 to see everything. $45 to see all of the club shows. $30 a piece to see the bigger outdoor shows on Friday or Saturday. BSS and Panda Bear are playing outdoors Friday, Public Enemy and No Age on Saturday. Atlas Sound and Tortiose are two other names on the line-up that stuck out after a quick glance.
Pretty cool to see something like this in Raleigh.
