Wake is over, Davidson next

Fans, players, coaches, admin, etc need to forget about this game starting tomorrow. Enjoy it for 24 hours and let it go. Its done. Davidson is next. Halton should rattle off its foundation next week, and we should expect a W. I expect a Danny Fortson/Kenny Satterfield/Kenyon Martin era type crowd and environment.

Davidson has to play Duke Saturday, so thats to our advantage. We have alot of time to prep, and they will peak their emotions out this weekend.

are you going for a post record tonight metro? I agree though, I think the students will come out for Davidson because we just beat an ACC team… (unfortunatly)

This Davidson game is big, and not just because it’s for the Hornet’s Nest Trophy or because they stomped us last year. They’re a better team than Wake, in my opinion.

You beat me to it.

The winner of the Davidson game will be 4BC, and maybe even 3BC.

I was looking ahead of tonight’s game to the Davidson game. That’s no lie. The same would have been true if it was the SIU game coming first. Tonight was fun, but it wasn’t Home In Halton.

Halton is better, I agree, except for one very important thing. And that thing is BEER, my friend. Enjoyed the suds tonight!

Davidson…we owe them, and I don’t want them to ever win in Halton. Ever. Bring it.

Halton is better, but we had some fans there tonight that would not have been in Halton. Tonight, I heard numerous fans say they wanted us to play more games downtown. I agree. It’s a great way to pick up new fans.

dude idk what you guys thought but it was LOUD TONIGHT …ALL 3…COUNT 'EM 3 student sections couldn’t even keep up w/their own cheers so I mean why shouldn’t get that kind of support @ Halton? …I am a realist though haha.

I think the crowd is able to get into the game more at Halton, but the Arena was a nice place to see the game.

Honestly I think Halton will be filled even more after that win.

Nice win last night…looked physical as heck to me…maybe this game should just be at Bobcat every year, somewhat of a neutral site.

So if Davidson magically gets ranked in the top 25 when they lost, does that mean that we will get ranked for beating Davidson?

Just glanced at the Davidson board (Davidsoncats.com) and they are saying the 49ers were
thuggish and handed out a lot of cheap shots during the win over Wake. Funny, because for as long
as I can remember 49ers palyers have told me that Davidson is the worst “cheap shot” team we play
on a regular basis.
Sounds like the kitty cats’ fans are already making up excuses.

Beat me to it. I was just about to head over there. I think they’re getting scared. They are preparing their case for the Loss they will be handed Wednesday.

In fact, pussiecat poster from above, wildforthecats was one of the ones claiming us to be “taking cheap shots” last night. Did we really?

there were no cheapshots last night! Phil swung his elbows one time, and popped a wake guy (because he was reaching in) and the ref didn’t even call it. He then thru and outlet pass and that was one of Wilderness’ sweet layups I think.

what about Leemire getting body slammed to the floor and a no call?? that was the “thug” play of the night by Wake.

I’m sure it’s been discussed but LD Williams is the biggest punk I’ve seen since the Cinci players of late 90’s/early 2000. He was talking smack all night long and slammed Leemire on that one play as Lee was turning to run up court. Bumped and tried to get in Lee’s head all night long. Gaby swatted his crap and the refs talked to him. He got a rude awakening by the Niners. Not nearly as cocky shaking hands in defeat.

Umm yes those Charlotte players, truly a sad sight to see their street savvy type of basketball with their duffer shots (dunks) and showboating reverse layups, why my monacle fell off at least three times last night from being so flabbergasted, plus there isn’t a single chase or hilton on their team, atrocious. Where is George Mikan when you need him, why he would give them what for with his hook shot and ability to move during play. Everytime a private school plays a public school they refer to the fact that their institute is full of money and therefore culturally and socially superior. Please Davidson, you bring a lot of respect to NC by doing it right, do not become Duke Jr. (or UNC jr, the exception to the rule of public schools).

I remember that one. It was right in front of us. Phil looked like he was terrified they were gonna call it. He was suprised that they didn’t.
