Welcome Coach Albin!

Yes. Great call. There are lots of Hagar solo and Montrose or Van Halen that would really work. This guy is going to win.

Lambert got us started.
Healy got the students involved.
Biff got us recruiting.
Albin will get us winning.

The recipe for success is there waiting for the right person to put it all together. I believe Coach Albin is it.

Trexler Ivey ?

It’s not rocket science, but I like that he jumped all over this question. He knows what that first game means. He specifically mentioned recruiting in his answer.

It will be an interesting trivia question down the line that Coach Albin started his Charlotte, NC coaching career not at Richardson Stadium but at BoA. Would be a good one for Niners bar trivia or the Niners-themed Trivial Pursuit game whenever that is made.

Lucky for Coach he’s moving here just as Tepper is bringing live music to the QC!

The clip of him addressing the team - there he is in his element - he’s going to win them over and bring in new guys that will buy in as well - everything else then takes care of itself…

I’ve been in bank/financial sales for 30+yrs…the hardest thing to do is hire someone.

Because…all professional salesmen can sell…especially themselves. It says nothing about their work ethic or drive or motivation or organization or ability…they’re just good talkers…good at knowing how to say exactly what you want to hear.

There have been more times than I can count that we hire someone that absolutely crushed and nailed the interview…but then were terrible at their job.

Football can be similar to sales. Our last 2 coaches could talk and nailed the interview but couldn’t perform worth sh!t. This hire was made due to his performance not on his interview skills.

To me that’s a plus.

Give me real substance over a hype man any day.

The passion in his voice is refreshing. You can tell he was a bit nervous and I don’t blame him. Once he got to talking about football he was smoother. Got a chance to chat with him after the press conference and the dude had me ready to go play. Just absolutely thrilled.

His wife is also super nice! Sounds like they want a house on a lake!
