Other than what Hunter stated, Dollar is the only assistant coach on staff at Charlotte. Until it is officially announced, and sometimes after, Nothing is for sure.

Don’t doubt that Bailey, Williams, Tipton, etc are correct about Paige. Williams and poster @Barry010824 both specifically mentioned May.

There’s been some discussion about Jizzle possibly coming over. Only one so far.
Do you know what the issues were with him being away from the team this past season?
Based on his numbers, he seemed like a good big 12 guard. What’s your evaluation on him?
From my understanding, he was dealing with a lot in his personal life—things that had nothing to do with basketball. What stands out most is his ability to go through that and still return during the season. That says a lot about who he is, both as a player and as a person.
On the court, if you do end up getting Jizzle, you’re getting a guard who can compete with anyone. He’ll have his off nights here and there, but his talent is undeniable. His mid-range game is a big part of his scoring—when it’s falling, it looks smooth and effortless, but when it’s not, it can be tough to watch.
As a freshman, I thought his biggest strength was attacking the rim—putting his head down and getting to the basket. He seemed to move away from that a bit last season, and I’m not exactly sure why.
Overall, though, Jizzle is a workhorse. Wes has said multiple times that he’s the hardest-working player he’s ever coached, and other coaches have mentioned seeing him drenched in sweat just from workouts the day before games. If he ends up following Wes, you guys are going to love what he brings

Thank you for the response. One more question about james: You said he sounds like the most realistic get to follow wes. Is that bc of them having a close relationship? He had good numbers so it seems like he would have suitors.

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure if we can get James, but he sounds like a good player to have leading the team and a Wes Miller type player.
Hunter Bailey needs to investigate and clarify whether Marcis Paige is coming as an assistant coach? I can understand why Sean May has not been announced (if he is coming) as he is overseeing the program until a coach is hired at Carolina,.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Byron Dinkins back at dominating HS basketball like he did 10 years ago. His teams, either Northside Christian Academy or Carmel Christian, were in the state finals every year of his 8 year career and he won the title 4 times. He was a fabulous recruiter and great coach in those days.
He joined Ronchez’s team as a “special” assistant (whatever that means) then later on as Director of player development but never ascended to Assistant Coach. If you hang around him much, you pick up that he is a fairly quiet guy and I wonder if he was just never interested in the travel required for collegiate recruiting. If so, HS coaching may fit him better.
I think he’ll follow Wes, simply because that’s his guy. Jizzle had multiple opportunities to leave Cincinnati and didn’t—he chose to stick it out with Wes. And trust me, especially after his freshman season, there were some big-name programs reaching out.
You also have to consider how much Wes has done for him. It feels like there’s a strong sense of loyalty there, and that could play a big role in his decision. On top of that, Chad Dollar has a close relationship with Jizzle’s dad, which only strengthens those connections even more..

Dinkins was actually promoted to Special Assistant to the Head Coach for this season. He joined the staff in 2018 as Director of Player Development.

Great memories watching Dink late 80’s, especially when we won the Sun Belt Tournament and the campus was rolled. Wish him the best.
