What if...he says "Yes"?
dont be so sure.

from what i understand, here is how it boils down:

there are 12 voting members on the BOT

3 are firmly against football, always have been, and regardless of what the chancellor says, they are going to say no.

1 is an absolute yes. (Tim Ernst, Student Body Prez)

it appears outwardly as though 3 other members are YES YES YES, regardless of what the chancellor says.

that leaves us with 5. those 5, most likely are going to vote with whatever the chancellor recommends. sure they can agree or disagree, but likely they’ll put their trust in his recommendation. honestly, it is highly probable that his recommendation will be the outcome.
That’s what I was saying – the chancellor’s recommendation is just that – we have some trustees that will not agree with his recommendation and vote their own way.
Dude, come to our meetings.
Every time you have had a meeting I have been in class. I try not to skip class, I will be skipping for the rally.

Oh, just say something. I try to plan around people's schedules. I could at least keep you in the loop.
It is said history repeats itself. I might be tempted to jump in the pond in front of the old Brocker Health Center.
I've jumped in the one in front of colvard before :o

I’d go crazy and be depressed at the same time because I know I won’t be a student when we get it :o. Overall happy though… and totally will somehow have to sneak into the student section at the first game

To coincide with this thinking. I think if we DO get a football team, all alumni should get the opportunity to come back for one game for free. It would not only be a good gesture, but a way to get disconnected alumni back to campus and get them hooked on 49er football!!

As an alum, I agree.................... but the smart way to do it would be for the AD to require the alums wanting the free ticket to purchase season tickets and discount the season ticket price by one game less than the regular season ticket price.
Maybe I'll celebrate at the titty bar. LOL. Not that I would ever go to such an unsavory place.

This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
What do you mean, ā€œbiblicalā€?
What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath of God type stuff.
Exactly.
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes…
The dead rising from the grave!
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!

probably get wasted

Great quote from Ghostbusters…lol.

I'm assuming that since he is making the effort to organize our March to the Endzone that it means one of 2 things...
 1. He’s got good news and wants to share it in a professional fashion…

OR

 1. He’s got bad news and doesn’t want us to riot at ā€œhisā€ precious house…

no… if security is there with him, expect bad news. No security = good news or no news.
Actually, I think if the recommendation was yes, everyone should go stand out at the new front entrance to celebrate.

haha. I walked by that thing so many mornings and never did it. I bet a couple good snapping turtles live in there by now.:lmao:

If CHP says yes, there needs to be a big party at PICS.

AND IF THE UNIVERSITY HAS A LICK OF MARKETING SAVVY, THEY WILL HAVE GOOD FOOTBALL MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT. HOW MANY OFFICIAL 49ER FOOTBALL T’S AND HATS COULD YOU SELL? GOOD GOD!!

I’m going to hold you to this and I’ll even make a special trip down to CLT just to witness this event!!

As for me, I have a cigar from a certain island I’ve been keeping for a while. I’ll fire it if and when the answer is yes.

no BOT members should be in on this decision if they are extremely biased one way or the other.
I’ll post something on the shoutbox.
Awesome.

Proudest day of my life. By far.
