I have stayed there a couple of times, while some of my friends have stayed there over 10 times.
It is located across the street from the Tropicana on Pacific Ave., there are always cabs in front and there is also a jitney that runs up and down Pacific Ave. 24 hours (I think).
There are other hotels in the area that are cheap and within walking distance / easy cab rides from the casinos, but that is the one I know specifically.
I do not recommend the hotel for families, only college kids, recent broke alums and degenerate gamblers.
If you stay in AC but not on the Boardwalk. I suggest you take a cab. The crime is bad outside the boardwalk from what I hear.
I would go if it was on spring break like last year b/c it’s only a 20 minute drive from my house… but sadly i can’t go this year.

… Another cheaper option for those interested: Comfort Inn, Boardwalk, 154 S. Kentucky Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. … two blocks from Boardwalk Hall and casinos, stayed there for A-10 media day.
