so...Metro...what's your real bone to pick with Judy?
Did you get turned down for a job in the administration?
Just curiousā¦your animosity seems to extend further than your posts suggest.
Legend has it heās a disgruntled ex-49er all-metro Niner player. Guys, understand heās young and his maturity level is that of a third grader. One day heāll learn you never burn bridges. Until then, heāll just be total ass. Carry on, I have bigger fish to fry. Actually turkeys.

I could be wrong but I thought I read where D-I schools if they add football can no longer go I-AA, they have to start in D-I.
Can someone confirm?
MK, I assume you mean 1-A, since 1-AA is also Division 1.
I am aware of criteria for maintaining 1-A status, but havenāt heard anything about having to start at 1-A. I believe Florida Atlantic and Florida International are both considering the move to 1-A (and both have joined the Sun Belt Conference), but FIU and FAU are still 1-AA at this time.
I have never applied for anything. And 31 is not what I call young.
what I am, is a disgruntled ex-participant All American of the athletic program, who thinks itās seriously off track. Most of the posters here who defend Judy are employees who have a job to lose. as for my burning bridges, I know I have. But I would rather burn bridges and state the sad state of affairs our administration is in, than not say anything at all. After all the only ones that will be upsetā ARENāT NINERS.
just remember, as long as Judy is around, she wonāt budge. We will be a middle of the road program for all sports. She let Kohlenstien go, Melvin walk, failed to find a conference home, failed in football, failed in fundraising, and the list goes on. I have a right to feel our program is imploding. attacking me personally because I feel Judy is a failure is ridiculous. I think she is a fine person, but very lacking when it comes to management and her job performance. Being the only female on alot of committees is worthless.
I just want to see us succeed in everything and get to the next level. Judy is comfortable with no football, mediocre fundraising, and all sports being middle grade. She also surrounds herself with those that wonāt differ with her on anything.

If alums get behind the program and put money on the table (example join the foundation) it will take us far.
great point!!!!
who is in charge of getting us to that point???
I think you make some good points, but I would also argue that we need more active people in the Athletic Foundation below the AD that seek donations. Phone banking the alums would probably yield a lot of good results. And I dontā give a flip if they went to UNCC or Southwest Montana Tech - I just want us to get some more money.

I respond to my own posts!!!
Just kidding man.

TF,
what would happen if somebody new came and invigorated Charlotte alum and NON alum? that sure isnāt happening now.
We need new blood to energize our base.
I truly feel like someone can come into this financial city and rain money into our program.

You looking for a new job or something, Metro?
Seriously, I think youāre all over this one. The Charlotte areaās per capita income is something like around 6th in the nation & there are tons of corporate possibilities. The lack of community support was one of the most baffling things I noticed when I started working in Charlotte again in the late 90ās. Of course, thatās only one piece of the puzzle.
The AD should be a visionary as well as a leader. This position should be planning our future for the next 5 to 10 years down the road. It appears like Judy is simply maintaining the program and trying to avoid risk at all costs. There is a ton of money in Charlotte and The Athletic Foundation needs to hire an aggressive fund raiser to go after it.
