Originally posted by Mr. Bojangles@Nov 25 2004, 10:48 PM How about Jeff Mullins??? I thought Mullins did a good job of getting us back on track. I remember attending an alumni event in Winston in the 80's (I think it preceded a Niner/Wake game) & he announced the planning stages for our on-campus arena (not named at the time). Like Metro said, he got us into CUSA. He is also responsible for getting the basketball program back on track. That's why his name is hanging on the wall at Halton. BTW, we beat Wake in that game.
I am still baffled we live in the backyard of Nascar and canât reach that money whatsoever.
I personally think our program needs SOMEBODY from a school that knows how to fundraise. All of our directors are from peon schools and UNCC is a step up. Our new AD needs to be an assistant AD from a school like Memphis, UL, Cincy, UNC, USC, UGA, Clemson, etc where the funds pour in, AND THEY KNOW HOW TO SELL. Then surround HIM with a Niner or two.
Metro has a point. The current administration has gotten us very far, but I think it may have hit a wall. We need some new blood to give us that extra âpush over the cliffâ as Nigel Tufnel would say. Someone needs to come in and turn all the amps to 11.

if Judy were a man, she would of been replaced or demoted by now. Because of her gender, she is getting far too long to accomplish things.
I give her credit, she was a trailblazer for women ADs, but enough is enough, its time to get this entire program off the ground.

huh? Do you have any proof of this?

thats what Iâve figured was the problem, probably was a reason she was selected to Selection Committee tooâŚwhich I guess was a good thing for 49ers program. We need some groups to stand up and challenge the reverse discrimination stuff all over, sue the girl scouts for not allowing boy members (wonder what ACLU would do there?), sue bars/clubs for charging guys a cover but not girls, challenge affirmative action in general basically and Title IXâŚthen maybe what metro is suggesting and is probably right about will stop.
NinerOne, I donât know if youâre married or what. But when you go out on a date, do you ask the girl to pay? I am just curious. Do you ask her to open the car door?
no, iâm just saying you can throw those crazy lawsuits that ACLU has done back at themâŚthere is plenty of reverse discrimination out there in work force and other areas(title IX). I understand why bars donât charge girls lots of times, but its also not fair especially in a world were women are working and making there own money. our traditions are based from a different time.
i will never agree with letting someone get a job or hold on to it as metro suggest is rightâŚbasically Iâm against affirmitive action, I prefer the Condi Rice approach for âminority groupsâ, she actually earned it and is generally against affirmitive action. Hiring someone or ânot firingâ simply because of race and/or sex is wrong.
Hi, my name is NinerOne! I can take anything and make it political!
Blah blah blah Title IX blah blah blah liberal media bias blah blah blah I love Ann Coulter blah blah blah.
I thought NinerOne was Ann Coulter?
I think UNCCTF and Switchfoot are lovers.
howâs that for political
