Will Wade - UT Chatanooga - rumored candidate for Head Coach

And response from Will Wade is “No Comment.”

And from UTC is “…its no secret good people get found.”

Well, if those don’t sound like “hey, you got me…” responses, I don’t know what do. I think Im starting to believe its all but official.

That said, If he can bring over 6K to games in Chattanooga, he can do that in Charlotte if he brings wins.

As mentioned in the SB, he was among Shaka Smarts first hires at VCU and Wade was trying to bring VCU’s Havoc style of play to UTC, calling it “Chaos”.

He’s not a big splash name, but he appears young, energetic, and has a fast tempo style of play. Maybe he’s just what we need.
We do need a kick in the ass… Hope he’s the foot.
So if “Havoc” and “Chaos” are taken by other schools, what are we going to call it here? Do we just decide to be honest and call it “Hack and whack for 40 minutes”?

“confusion” with “c” being a c-pick.

One of you artsy types mock that up and I’ll share my copywrite with you.

“Dynamite”

DEMOLITION.

Fits pretty well with our mining theme. Well, kind of.

Our luck would be that the refs actually start calling all of the fouls this “defense” generates and it’s a complete fail when used here. I get so pissed off watching this “brand” of defense I don’t even care to watch basketball when the refs allow all the unwhistled fouls. Mike Anderson, Pitino, and others have brought it to Halton and used it against us in the past. I guess it’s more fun being the giver than the recipient of said defense.

I feel teh same way. With that said we seem to get shit on by the refs anyway, might as well make them count.
I feel teh same way. With that said we seem to get s*** on by the refs anyway, might as well make them count.
Part of the success around HAVOC is Shaka’s ability to work the officials. Hope Wade is as good at it as Shaka is.

I want no part of the brand of basketball that Pitino, Mike Anderson, and Shaka Smart play…

They are three very successful coaches.

Hopefully we call it “Winning.”

I’d sure as hell take their results.

clt gets poetic.

i will wade out
till my thighs are steeped in burning flowers
I will take the sun in my mouth
and leap into the ripe air
Alive
with closed eyes
to dash against darkness
in the sleeping curves of my body
Shall enter fingers of smooth mastery
with chasteness of sea-girls
Will i complete the mystery
of my flesh
I will rise
After a thousand years
lipping
flowers
And set my teeth in the silver of the moon

Is the Zep hot pink with puprle flowers that you call a unicorn with wings?

Hire Dinkins because Wade would be gone after his first good season here and we need a coach who will stay and give us long term stability. Dinkins or another former PG in Hurley (also gone after his first good season) because both were point guards and Dinkins played point guard on the pro level. NBA teams have made a habit of hiring former pro point guards with no coaching experience like Kidd and Fisher. Dinkins would be great coach for us for a long time and he would be great for recruiting the big time local kids. I think that the NBA has realized that having been a point guard is the best qualification for being a head coach with or without coaching experience from the sidelines because they are the on the court coaches for their teams. Hire Dinkins because we will look foolish having to hire a new coach after every successful season and having our good players leave as a result.

You are wrong. I would love to be in the position to have to hire coaches every other year because of the success that they bring.

Why do we care if we lose the coach leaves as long as they are winning here? Dont get me wrong if we end up with a lifer who is winning then awesome, but just like Melvin adn Bobby, both Niners - when things were good they were entertaining leaving. I would rather be good and elevate the program.

I feel like you cut and paste the same post into every thread.

The daddy for all of this was Nolan Richardson’s “40 minutes of hell”, but I feel like we have been using that for the last couple of years. >:(
