Other than Kidd, what former PG with no coaching experience has actually demonstrated they are good coach?
And lets keep in mind that Kidd is an all-time NBA PG, not just a PG.
Why do we care if we lose the coach leaves as long as they are winning here? Dont get me wrong if we end up with a lifer who is winning then awesome, but just like Melvin adn Bobby, both Niners - when things were good they were entertaining leaving. I would rather be good and elevate the program.
I agree unless we have acoach that is here for a year, goes to the first round of the tournament, then gets scooped up.
I canāt think of anything worse than that.
Fortunately though, with Wade coming from the Shaka Smart tree, he may take a Shaka Smart approach to things. Hopefully weāll take a VCU approach to things and reward success.

Who says Dinkins wonāt leave after some success here? I bet you didnāt think Melvin was going anywhere when he bolted to A&M after 2 years.
And response from Will Wade is āNo Comment.ā
And from UTC is āā¦its no secret good people get found.ā
Well, if those donāt sound like āhey, you got meā¦ā responses, I donāt know what do. I think Im starting to believe its all but official.
That said, If he can bring over 6K to games in Chattanooga, he can do that in Charlotte if he brings wins.
As mentioned in the SB, he was among Shaka Smarts first hires at VCU and Wade was trying to bring VCUās Havoc style of play to UTC, calling it āChaosā.
Heās not a big splash name, but he appears young, energetic, and has a fast tempo style of play. Maybe heās just what we need.
We do need a kick in the assā¦ Hope heās the foot.
So if āHavocā and āChaosā are taken by other schools, what are we going to call it here? Do we just decide to be honest and call it āHack and whack for 40 minutesā?
I nominate āCunt-Fuā.
Of their 22 wins 2 were against D2 or D3 teams. 7 were against teams with winning records. 3 wins versus tourney teams (UAB, Wofford and Coastal). Lost by 44 to Wisconsin, 22 to Butler and 31 to Georgia. Also had losses to Tennessee Tech, Kennesaw St., Western and Furman who were a combined 48-79. Bad losses outweigh good wins.

this is a big scary.
I donāt care about what happens down the road. If he leaves or does not leave. I want to win now. If Wade can bring even a small part of VCUās success, letās go. What Smart has done at VCU is remarkable and continues to be so. Iām all for someone from that coaching tree.
If heās here 3 years and leaves for a new gigā¦ Probably means good things have been happeningā¦ Iāll gladly deal with that reality
Those losses donāt look good, but they know how to close games unlike some teams this past year. :-[

Agree, itās hard to look at W/L with the a question mark surrounding the level of talent he had to work with.
Check out common opponents for 2014:
UAB:
UTC- W by 13 points
Char- L by 5 points
Middle Tenn:
UTC- L by 2 points
Char- 2 Ls by 3 points each time
If the trigger has been pulled, and Double Dubs is our guy, the announcement/introduction needs to wait until Thursday morning.
Weāre hosting the NCAA Tournament Uptown, and nothing would be better than to trot out our new coach in front of the national media.
Led Tenn Tech by 17 at halftime. Lost.
Led Furman by 4 with 6 minutes to go. Lost.
Led Wofford by 10 at halftime. Lost.
I thought you were on the Wade bandwagon?
My sarcasm meter was turned off.

Young MIGHT be a great candidate, but Scott Fowler pays us ZERO attention (even in good times, unless we are playing a ranked opponent----worthy of his attention) so I could not care any less about who he thinks we should hire. He knows next to nothing about what we need.
Fowler on ESPN 730 at 5:30pm today.
Ryan Fagan of TSN on earlier and thought Wade would be a good choice.
Looking more and more like Will Wade might be our man. Weāre interviewing him.

Arenāt Wade and Young in the same conference? And Young has been winning that conference on a regular basis? I wonder if we also considered Young and he said he was not interested.
