i think that chant if the place is empty should be between the students in 104 and 105

Other than those 2 chants I think the students have done a great job coming up with new, clean and witty chants. I actually like the âYou canât do thatâ chant and the âThat wayâ (with the point to signify our ball on a turnover) and the âLeft, Rightâ chant.
Our students have come a a loooong way in excitement, creative chants and overall Niner PrideâŚjust wish we had a team to take FULL advantage of thatâŚmaybe we will again some day soon.
****On a positive note bustâŚI absolutely LOVE the UC Signature. SWEET!
The âdefenseâ chant speeds up too quickly too many times and then for the next 8 secs. nobody chants anything and they score. Itâs usually b/c we start it before they even get the ball in at the other end so by the third pass weâre done.

But like Ktown siad, when you grow up (not that I am that old) you see it differently. I wouldnât like the BS chant if I had a kid with me, or a client.
another thing I have noticed is that I hear it a lot on TV right now, and it makes you just sound stupid. It was funny all of 5 years ago when it first got started, but now it makes you look like a copy cat (much like the wake forest song).
I am glad that the âyou suckâ chant is gone more than anything, nothing made us look more stupid than that. When you are a college kid nobody expects you to have loads of class at a sporting event but you are expected to not be an idiot.
As for the Defense clapclap, SLOW DOWN! geeze, the shot clock is 35 seconds, pace yourself.

okay okay - so honestly - at the davidson game, or blowout rather, earlier this year - what was with the âprep schoolâ chant?
someone started some chant that involved either at least weâr not a prep school, or something like that - when davidson is one of the most difficult schools around, and is VERY far from a prep school - honestly made us sound like the morons
that, is byfar the WORST chant i heard all year.
i also thnk we should stick to the defence chant (not dddd-defence) or whatever, and then the standard go niners as far as the cheerleaders are concerned. the other ones, kinda retarded - and wehn you actually think about where something sounds stupid before you begin shouting it, it looses its purpose.
and for everything else, let the student section take over
i also think that bullshit and you suck are lame and classless - not because its not real, but because there are kids around, and i feel like its respectful to their parents to not do that. plus at this point we need all the help we can get in the stands, dont want to run those kids off.

A few years ago there we chanted âHIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADERSâ at their cheerleaders⌠unless they received new outfits and an upgrade in talent, you know what I mean.
the bs chant IS classless. sporting events are a family environment. that is not needed. you may disagree with a call but that is not necessary at all when there are kids present. if you disagree, you can not attend sporting events. cause itâs not allowed anyway, so someone must know how classless it is.

Because I would be talking to them in person. But at a basketball game, it is a bunch of students chanting it in unison. I see a difference there. If my grandparents were sitting in the stands, I wouldnât care if we chanted it.

Well young Kids pick up everything. Thats why parents dont use âbadâ words around their kids. A 4 year old will pick it up, say it at school, then say he heard it from the basketball game. Or something like that.
