YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breakthrough!!!

FROM THE AP STORY

Charlotte (17-4) moved into the rankings at No. 23 after five wins in its last six games, the only loss at East Carolina. The 49ers’ other losses were to Rutgers, Alabama in triple overtime and Cincinnati.
The last time Charlotte was ranked came in the final week of the 1998-99 season when it was 24th.

ITS ABOUT TIME NCAA!!!

How sweet it is!!!

WHERE DOES IT SAY WE ARE RANKED???

Sportsline.com: Charlotte breaks into AP poll for first time in six years

I’m not a walking media guide, but I think this is the 1st time that Charlotte has been ranked.

In 98-99, wasn’t it still UNC Charlotte?

I’m just glad that I don’t have answer the question “If the 49ers are so good, how come they’re not ranked?” anymore.

YES FINALLY!!!

Let’s just hope that past trends don’t continue with us choking after getting ranked. Not that it would be a choke against DePaul because they’re a solid team but we REALLY need to win this game and prove our ranking.

I hope there’s TV. Charlotte finally gets into the top 25 and no ESPN highlights.

Awesome!

OK…now lets hammer Depaul. Can’t wait for the game on Wednesday night. The Jarvis Bobblehead is just an added bonus. GO Niners!

WOOT!

Last time the 49ers were ranked and I went to a game, we lost… :frowning:

I’ll be there Wednesday and let’s hope things will come out differently… B)

Lose either game this week and we're out. But win and we could break the top 20, Maryland is terribly inconsistent(22 right now), Oklahoma is going down fast and a few of the 15-20 teams could fall below us with a loss. Big week.

And hey, we’re ranked so that means that more fans will show up since that (and playing Cincy) is what it takes to get people to show up.

Everyone on the Niner bandwagon…

:toast:

Go Niners!! Beat DePaul!!

FWIW, Chicago Sun Times is using a freelancer for game coverage Wednesday.

PACIFIC AT 19?!?!

My day is now complete…the Niners are ranked!!!
