NA they played the song that has Christina Hendricks in the video during Royal Pains’ season premiere. They like plugging the indy songs in.

Two really strong albums that just dropped: Drake’s Thank Me Later and Robyn’s Body Talk Pt. 1. Yeah, I know Drake’s first CD was mediocre apart from “Forever,” but he’s REALLY stepped it up lyrically on this new one. As for Robyn, her CD is post-Haraway, post-Butler, fem-borg electronica in the vein of Janelle Monae without the racial philosophy and with better beats and lines like “Fembots have hearts too.” Niche!

Just got some early tracks from this to check out. Can’t wait. They’ve been one of my favorite underappreciated bands for years now.

Also listening to the 3rd Arcade Fire sneak peak - Ready to Start.

If you haven’t heard it, it sounds like a Morissey solo effort. Win sounds just like Moz. Hope I didn’t ruin it for anyone by saying that.

Came out in March, but I just got it yesterday. Very solid. Not big into rap, but I like some of it and Nas brings it on this album. Highly recommended if you like reggae or rap.

“In His Own Words” (also with Damian’s brother Stephen) is probably my favorite.

Didn’t realize they had a new one coming out…Let me know how you like this, I thought their last one was really disappointing, but their stuff before that was really solid.

Flip side view: I don’t enjoy reggae but love rap. And this album is a beast. So, if you like either of those things, you’re clearly going to enjoy it. Nas has been on fire since his last untitled album.
