I would rather make the tourney and Chapel Hill not.
This.

Meanwhile, Niners among the “In the Mix” of Glockner’s Bubble Watch.

Charlotte (17-4, 5-2; RPI: 54, SOS: 132)The 49ers edged UMass by a point to kick off their "win or not in" six-game decider. The next five now: At Temple, VCU, at Butler, at Saint Louis, Temple. GW: None, really BL: None

Wow. Still no credit for the win over La Salle.
Shows how little effort these guys make. The annoint LaSalle after beating two quality teams but we get zero credit for beating the team that beat those quality teams? Makes no sense.

I’d rather fly under the radar, pull out a 4-2 or better record in this stretch and have them all of a sudden realize our success.

Forget SI’s zero credit job. ESPN is straight up not even considering us in their Bubble Watch. La Salle and U-Mass are included http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bubblewatch?id=144

ESPN continues to pour on the hate!

See that Honest beat me to posting ESPN.com Bubble Watch. Not sure how it can include La Salle and UMass, but exclude the Niners. Oh, that’s right, I forgot. Brennan wrote that!

Good to at least see future CUSA foes Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, and Louisiana Tech getting consideration as bubble teams.

I’d say La Salle’s wins against Butler and VCU might have something to do with that. Unless they implode La Salle is in.

UMass on the other hand…

Live-RPI predicting us to get bounced in the 1st round of the conference tourney

Some have said 22 wins looks to be the magic number for making the NCAA. That gives us a 23.76% chance of having 22 or more wins. Better than many of us thought at the beginning. Especially if you said we were going to lose our leading scorer and Braz was going to show up to 1/3 of the games.

Sportingnews.com: Making sense of Atlantic 10 chaos an impossible mission

Sportingnews.com: Field of 68 - Feb 4

just saw this chat log on espn (obviously this was earlier this week, before the temple game):

Andrew:
Charlotte 17-4 via an awful non conference, but 5 huge A10 games coming up; Temple(A) VCU(H) Butler(A) SLU(A) and Temple(H), How many of those games do they need to win to get into the at large picture?

Dana O’Neil:
Um, many. 4 or 5.

CBS has us listed as “Probably out” http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology/bubble-watch

We NEED to beat VCU this Saturday. This is a must win.

Latest from Lunardi includes Butler, La Salle, Saint Louis, and VCU from the A-10. Temple among “First Four Out”; Southern Miss of C-USA is “Next Four Out.” Also “dancing” this week among C-USA 3.0 are La Tech (WAC rep) and Middle Tennessee (Sun Belt rep).

ESPN.com: Bracketology - Feb 8

Palm still includes 5 from A-10.

CBSSports.com: Bracketology - Feb 8

The 49ers have picked up a couple decent home wins in A-10 play, but they will need more both home and away to have a chance.

Brennan doesn’t seem to like us.
Brennan doesn’t seem to like us.

ESPN.com: College Basketball Bubble Watch - Feb 13
Truthfully, not much to like right now as fas as our NCAA chances. Have to play our way back into consideration.

No argument there. Just saying if an X with an RPI of 82 makes the list, then a Charlotte with an RPI of 63 with a victory over the former should be there too.

Brennan finally give the Niners some credit.
