great question. in order(and totally talking about of my butt as usual)
1.) vasic(not sure why i have a really good feeling about his game).
2.) shephard(experienced and a season to sit out and work on his game)
3.) williams(definitely talented and i think we have a freshman stand out and i think its him
According to this, Valpo will be in rebuild mode in 2019-20.
Glad to see the schedule out and a total of six in state opponents.
Thanks Judy!
I believe we usually have 14 home games (not including the exhibition), and this year it is 13. I guess that will save me a few bucks on the season ticket.
We should have 15 home games - the 13 we already know plus the two C-USA Bonus Play
This website has your games and statistically projects out your team / players stats and final scores as well.
It is missing arguably our two best ibcoming recruits for this season.
It seems like only the top 10 projected players from each team are listed. I would assume since 10-13 on the roster almost never contribute to anything but garbage time. I believe the projections from the players yet to play a D1 college game come straight from the recruiting rankings, and those players not listed on your team were lower rated. Just eyeballing several teams it seems the guys that have played in college have pretty fair projections to me.
Also being familiar with Carrawell from ECU recruiting him I’m a little surprised with any expectation he will make a significant impact this year. I remember when we recruited him he was averaging like 9ppg and shooting like 38% FG and doing little else positive at least statistically. I know he shot the ball better his senior year but it seems like a stretch to be one year removed from that to positive contributor at the D1 level as a freshman.
he improved a lot from his junior to his senior season. big jump.
Maybe, but he wasn’t dominate in anything statistically in high school . The rebounds, assist, steals, blocks were all kind of below average and not really what you would expect from a guy coming in from high school that would be a positive contributor immediately. He shot well last year but looking over his career that could wax and wane if that’s where you are depending on him deriving value from.
he was also playing with wendell moore and leaky black so he was not the focus of the offense. he didnt have to shoot 20 times per game but look at a lot of the bigger games he played at cox mill. he was the leading scorer in a lot of them and put up big numbers against really good teams.
Playing with those guys would have little affect on things like rebounds, steals, and blocks and if anything it should have allowed him to focus more on those areas with less usage and presumably more energy to. He also should have more assist and better efficiency playing with them since he wasn’t the focus of defense and could toss it to them and get free assist here and there.
i don’t expect him to have the immediate impact that brice willaims does but he is a big guard who can step out and shoot, can take guys off the dribble and is a solid defender.
He has good bloodlines, certainly not a bad prospect or anything I just wouldn’t expect much from him this year.
how many timesw did you see him play this past season?
