2021 College Hoops Coaching Carousel

I don’t know about Aston being punished next year. She took North Texas from five wins to fifteen her one year there. UTSA probably a pit stop on the way to Texas A&M, TCU, or Texas Tech.
I’d like to know the back story of her departure from Austin. Just looked up their record this year against Baylor and it was 0-3.

Roy has just announced his retirement.

clt says good ol roy leaves a legacy of class

Holes on the decline. When the going gets tough, Roy retires. What a fraud!
Cheat will be better off without him.

Looks like there could be an opening in C-USA:

There’s gonna be a bit of a rebalancing in NC college hoops in the next few years as deputy dawg and coach kjzhkhjkhehrkejwhazajssszkz retire. (I never did learn to spell his name).

Wonder who will step up and fill the void? Which programs will fail to capitalize in the moment?

I feel like Roy and Bubba would have somebody lined up before Roy rode off into the sunset. I think today was the Roy announcement so he got the press and accolades he wanted, and the new coach announcement will come soon. Maybe Monday. I think it will be Hubert Davis. He is a former Tar Heel player, NBA player, ESPN analyst, and nephew of a Tar Heel legend. He as been an assistant there for 9 years, and is the Head Coach of their JV team. And he is African-American, at a school where I think there has only been one hired as a head coach before. He is my bet.

I thought "Ol Roy’s players didn’t have to go to “class”?

Davis is the name I’m seeing the most, with Wes Miller and Steve Robinson also mentioned within the Tar Heel family tree. Outsiders mentioned includes a “Who’s Who” of head coaches - Donavan, Bryce Drew, Few, Holtmann, Moser, Musselman, Stevens, Wright etc.

Would create a C-USA vacancy:
