I was way off (in a good way) last year on the draft, so take this with a grain of salt. The MLB Draft is so hard to figure out because now they are basically negotiating their numbers during the draft. Every player has a number $ that they will sign for and I don’t know what our guys’ numbers are.
I would be surprised if McCabe & Geisting come back. Both of their values are pretty high and they have leverage. Giesting went to the Draft Combine in San Diego last month.
Fisher is probably 50/50. He has the most leverage since he’s got 3 more years of eligibility here. I imagine his number to sign is pretty high.
Furman is 50/50 to me too. He also has lots of leverage and I’ve seen more press on him than any of our other guys lately. I think his number would be high too.
Knight is also 50/50 too. I think scouts have seen what he’s capable of even though he had a down season in 2022.
Dragum is another guy who pushed his stock pretty high this past season. I haven’t seen much draft press on him but some team may pick him. I think he would likely sign if drafted.
Incoming Freshman Calvert Clark is also on the draft radar. He’s been on a few lists and went to the Draft Combine in San Diego last month.
I trust your opinion here. That would be a huge bummer, but I would also be happy for them. They’re both damn good players and fun to watch.
If they are all drafted by the Cardinals, I’ll be able to let go of them
