IMHO Jeff Charles had one of the best play-by-play sports announcing voices. He will surely be missed.
My recollection is the last time a school ended its MBB season early was the St. Bonaventure scandal of 2002-03. Turned out that a Bonnie JUCO player didn’t have an AA degree but only a certificate of welding!
The really sad thing about the St. Bonaventure incident is that in the wake of the scandal in which the basketball coach, AD, and president were all terminated, the school’s board chair committed suicide.
