That’s bang on. Get ready for a lot of sub-500 power conference teams getting into the tourney now. It’s going to be craptastic. Money is ruining the sport.

They will restructure the tournament as two phases:
Phase 1 - mid major AQ play in tournament. All mid major teams will be forced into this round, regardless of record / ranking
Phase 2 - the real tournament. Only 1 or 2 teams from Phase 1 will get in, but the entire ACC, B1G, SEC will be in this round.
They might not expressly label it as such (or hell maybe they will), but you can be damn sure that’s how it’ll work. Bank on it.
