We need to win 7 of our next 9 (including opening conf tournament game) to at least finish 500 in conference play.
Nothing a 100% guarantee. But I will assert that Gregg Marshall is as close as you’re gonna get.
I think it’s a pointless convo though cause I think Sanchez is safe and knows it
Braswell has been on the bench because his thumb is torn up and I believe had surgery to repair it. Out for rest of year.
Marshall is likely the best coach, but I think the dude is radioactive, just untouchable in todays environment.
You’re probably right but at this point if Hannibal Lechter could come in and take us back to the NCAA Tourney id be trying to convince you he just has an eating disorder…
Yeah. But i doubt he could bc no players would sign up to play for him.
Yeah I agree - I just dont see any players signing up for him. I don’t see a way back for him.
I wanna circle back to that Ben McCollum suggestion.
Looking at his record, it makes no sense why this guy hasn’t gotten a chance at D1.
… Unless he is doing something, probably recruiting related, that is either sketchy, or not sustainable at the D1 level.
Because if his strategy worked at say the AAC level, he would be a nearly no brainer hire.
Only other thing I could think of is skeletons in his past. But I haven’t seen that mentioned.
Yeah seems like there would be something in his past that is making ADs nervous. With how much is permissible now though that’s a short list.
Probably has more to do with how the fairly recent Kim Anderson jump from a highly successful run at D-II Central Missouri to his alma mater Mizzou ended up being a total disaster for the Tigers.
You just wouldn’t accept his invitation to dinner.
This name is very interesting. The only scary thing about it to me is he’s only done it at one place. Maybe this is just one of those jobs where anyone can be successful and the program sells itself. I don’t know anything about it honestly but it’s hard to believe that he hasn’t at least been hired by a CUSA or Sunbelt level program with that record.

Good Lord that’s depressing.
On Niners Live, Coach just said that Khalifa practiced today and should play this week.
Been reading up on McCollum. Interesting that Grant McCasland, among others, have sought him out for advice. Also that the former’s AD at NW Missouri was Wren Baker, who was the latter’s AD at North Texas before Baker became the AD at West Virginia this past December.
Anyway, still think that the Kim Anderson fiasco at Mizzou has to be playing some part with McCollum having not yet moved up to D-I.
