Our bottom of the 7th defense was something to behold. Starting to believe.

Wagner in CF made several terrific plays. She really gets rid of the ball quickly to prevent extra bases. Go Lady Niners!

After being up 3 runs, ladies lose to UNT 3-6
prior to the game, RPI was up to 29. Gotta wonder if we don’t win the tournament, if we can get an at-large. Problem is, even with our RPI that good, we under-performed in conference and finished way down the standings. Wonder if the selection committee holds that against us.
I think it is possible but really dependent on if we win one more game. Looks like that will be against Marshall
We owe Marshall a big fat L after all that B.S. up in WV. They’re due a major ass-whuppin from us.

Two days ago, even before the conference tournament, USA Today bracketology had us in the Clemson region as 3rd seed: 1 Clemson, 2 Georgia, 3 Charlotte, 4 Boston. Based on that that, it would appear that they knew we were not seeded very good in the CUSA tournament but still gave us a decent seed in a region.

WKU just beat FAU 14-3, run rule in 5th so our game with Marshall should start around 9:15

Didn’t last long, Wiercioch pitching allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, 2 walks and left 2 on base before being replaced with 2 outs. Wright comes in and stops the bleeding.
