This was surprising to me yesterday because I thought we did a good job limiting deep passes most of the game against Maryland. We let them complete a lot of passes underneath but didnât get beat deap nearly as much as we did yesterday. Maybe we over corrected to try to cut out some of the passes in the middle of the defense. I donât know but whatever we were doing it didnât work. Ojong is really our only experienced coach on defense so hopefully he can clean that up or help Osborne clean it up.

Not from listening to the post game press conference. He said those two play calls on 3rd and 4th were ass backwards
Balfour was the problem on two of the deep balls. He was lost all game. They left him in there.

Went and actually watched the entire post game and oof that was rough⌠I was actually embarrassed for the players⌠when Bemah said âwe werenât on the same pageâ and Poggi looks over at him and asks him âwhy do you think you werenâtâ during the press conference⌠that was pretty bush league.
Iâm starting to think Biff coming over from one of the biggest football programs in the country to Charlotte is a culture shock to him, he obviously thinks things are getting done without him having to micro-manage them⌠that just isnât the case.
I bet the Michigan OC and DC make more than a million a year and we dont even pay Biff thatâŚ
Iâm just surprised Biff isnât more involved in the day to day coaching, I guess he thinks his coaching staff is just going to be able to call a win against Georgia St without trying and that obviously isnât the case.

The coaches need to call the same plays for Jones that they did for Ivey. Screens, shallow crosses and slants, NONE of that was called for Jones. Our passing reads are NOT that complicated. Jones is not gonna lose large chunks of yardage.

They didnât run Williams off, Jalon outperformed everyone. The coaches are simply botching the calls.
So you leave Jones on the bench for more than half the game. Smart choice!
Does Jonesâ decision-making scare the shit out of me? Yes but I totally agree with you. They need to open up to the idea of Jonesâ arm ASAP or else we will be stuck with no passing game in conference play.

Not related to the game but getting a chance to hang out and talk to Demarco and Bobby and Jeff as well as Dink and some other Niner Legends was absolutely amazing. They stood there and graciously took pictures and chatted with anyone and everyone. Chris Reynolds toasts was one for the ages. Absolutely fantastic. I asked Bobby to come back and he said he would and I told him Iâm working on getting people like Diego and Jarvis and Bronico and some baseball and softball players. He absolutely loved it. So
Hopefully we can get him back soon!

Poggiâs post game was no different than Sanders at Colorado other than Colorado won. If they had not won his would have gone like Biffâs. Sanders called out bad defensive scheming, slow starts, missed coverage and tackles. Still donât know how I feel about either of them.
I thought his press conference was real and honest and he said EXACTLY what I told my wife during the game. I believe, as he said he met with the coaches before the conference, that he was still lit up about that âconversationâ and it carried over. Not an excuse but I get it. He did call out a lot of people, including himself.
It will be very interesting to see the fall out of this loss. I was proud on the zero quit in the team.
I think they will come together personally and I bet Floridaâs coaches will have some sleepless nights trying to figure out how we will scheme come Saturday. My guess is they will be cocky given TN victory and our 1-2 record so you never know.

The offensive line should be receiving the most criticism, the running game is supposed to set up the passing game, consistently getting 3-4 yards every run will force defenses to put extra men in the box, leaving wide receivers one on one, and the defense gets tired if we cant establish control over time of possession with long sustained drives, Biffs football philosophy is predicated on a dominate offensive line, this is the most glaring problem, DeVan should be receiving as much heat as Miller

So some of us were asking were Oki was in the first half of the game. Then Hunter Bailey spots him not dressed out and in a cast. Not good, what injury is this? Then he is playing in the second half. What the heck is going on around here? Either Hunter spotted the wrong player or Oki was held out for disciplinary reasons. The bottom line is we need him on the field to pressure the QB. Also, give Stone Handy some more run.
