3B coach is down the line directing lead runner. Doubtful he is directing hitter as the play is right in front of him. Different if it was to RC and the play was more behind the hitter. Knight on deck and Cunningham in the hole, I give them a chance to tie it up with a hit. Yes, mental mistakes on the bases that inning.
We can’t continue to dig ourselves huge holes.
It is really puzzling to me because I’ve seen most of these pitchers get it done before. We know they are better because we’ve seen it.
Very frustrating with the inconsistency but I have faith we will find a way. Lots of baseball left.
Stahlman was replaced by DeFranco in the field after that play.

Yeah, I noticed that but wasn’t sure if that was related to that play or just a planned sub.
It’s the mumble rap walkup music. Our hitters need to tap into the 90’s for some aggressive metal and better rap. That alone would get us 3 to 5 more runs a game, which would in turn help our pitchers

It wouldn’t be so loud if they were winning more. It’s time for them to get their shit together and manufacture wins however they can. If the pitching is off, the hitters are going to need to be smarter getting on base and moving base runners. If the hitters are struggling, coach will need to work his bullpen harder and more often with pitchers on a shorter leash. If March continues like the season so far, all that talk about Omaha will really ring bogus

Their schedule has been loaded with cupcakes. One decent opponent in St Johns and then 2 bottom feeder A-10 teams that they destroyed, Fordham & St Joes.
They are going to be a good team but their record and all their offensive stats are super inflated. Especially considering that they play in a wind tunnel for a home field. They know they are in for a step up in competition this weekend.
We’ve played them 12 times in the past 2 years and are 6-6. This weekend is going to be a pretty even matchup. We’ve won 3 of the 4 played at the Hayes of those 12 games.
