Yeah, I’m not sweating it. We made a possible transformational coaching hire yesterday. Any losses in the portal are just part of the cost of that, nothing more.
I’m all in on our new coach.
Short term pain for long term gain

Oh well. We’ve got a winning coach that can go find a winning QB. Peace out.
Can’t see Omega staying now either.
Figured the Wilcke offer was to be a potential starter. We officially have no game experience QBs left on the roster.
When the NCAA decided to grant all athletes an extra year of eligibility in 2020, things went from the five to play four model to six to play five. Exactly what Crawford is doing.
We are going to be fine. Albin will bring in the staff needed to grow whoever we end up having throw for us.
I wish the kid the best. Onward and Upward.
His extended family was always great to talk with. Will miss them.
I honestly believe this may be one of the biggest losses in Charlotte Football history. The kid was willing to stay even though being offered big money from other programs. Publicly put out what would make him stay. And we chose coaches over players. Players win games.
You can group Purdie with the basketball kids all you want. This kid was different mentally. He was willing to change Charlotte Football. Relationships mattered to him and his family. We didn’t adapt. I love the Albin hire but didn’t hate the Brewster hire either. Hope Tim can throw.
Any other QB that comes in and plays well will leave, percentages say.
Biff? Did you find some shirt sleeves?
“We didn’t adapt.” What does that mean? Let the kid pick our next coach? No, thank you.
You cannot keep a bad coach, even if it guarantees purdie staying. No guarantee he would he stayed even with biff
Brewster being a bad coach is completely subjective. I’m not convinced a hard go over a decade ago makes him a bad coach. This era of football and the transfer portal is perfect for a Brewster type.
The greatest loss in program history was the death of Phil Ratliff. Not only was it a human tragedy, but it also likely ended any chance of Lambert being successful here.
Purdue’s talent didn’t outweigh Biff’s coaching ability. He did well for us, but we’ll be fine without him in the future.
No player is worth more than the program
As you should. Players now can leave after one year or hell they might just get pissy and quit playing. Choosing players over coaches is dumb and even dumber now than it was.
If a kid leaves - get to steppin and dont let the door hit you in the ass. I don’t give a F.
I wanted him to stay but if he wants out then whatever.
Shouldn’t have said “bad” coach; Just say You cannot keep a coach, just because and even if, it keeps a player
Purdie won us 4 games this year. GW doesn’t count because Ivey had to come in and bail us out. I love Purdie. Seems like a great kid. I wish he wanted to come back and play for a good coach. But let’s stop acting like he’s the next Joe Montana.
clt says let’s look ahead to 12.10.25 if Purdie stays. we are fighting off SEC schools if he has an amazing year.
the program is bigger than any one player*
