clt thanks the o for the coverage, but advises them we have a new logo
Agree, The Big O doing their part, good coverage, nice back stories etc… I don’t want to talk about the past. Langston if you continue, even though I know you went to UNCCH, I am going to let you contribute to the Charlotte NIL collective moving forward. Seriously, 35 years in probably the most disrupted industry around, is impressive. I doubt how many of this board knows how long LW has been at this local stuff.
Nice promotion there.
Hmmm they don’t think much of us. Will take a miracle to pull our DL together. Our secondary sucks, though it’s also deep, and Max Brown struggled last year and isn’t good. They do like Purdie some and they like our RB room.
These things are destined to fail. Unless it’s born in a natural, organic way that touches the heart and soul, it’s doomed before it ever gets started.
Asking the students to submit songs seems pretty organic to me. We severely lack in tradition and I’m glad to see the program at least engaging them.
My daughter is on the exec committee for the CLT Gold Mine this year and we had this discussion last night. While I do appreciate the effort, it would be great if it was organic.
I told her that there are songs that would work but they might not be obvious. If “Sandstorm” wasn’t being used and someone suggested it, half the people would say that it wouldn’t work. Yet, 80,000 people in Columbia go nuts for it. The bottom line is that almost any song could work if the crowd buys into it.
Hunter is good about getting these answered. Get your questions in.
Then they should do a different song every game and let fans vote at the end of the season. Top six picks in the off season get trail runs during games and then vote for one to keep.
That’s a good idea.
Hard to make a song organic since it has to be played by the ad. Best idea is what central said. Just pick songs try out a few and pick one.
Letting people pick one means folks get pissy when their song isnt played or picked.
At the end of the day it just has to be a song that everyone knows 20 yr olds and 60 yr olds, men and women, one that everyone will sing with and one no one else uses.
Wisconsin uses jump around just because AD guy sat at a bar and watched people respond to it when it was played. It wasn’t organic really, just picked a song and then watched the crowd
