It could be worse, Exhibit A:
Georgetown is a total trainwreck of a program.
Was he facing being fired? That seems like a step down.

I mean this isnāt to be a knock on Fearne. But if this report is true I kind of feel like if Mike Hill wanted mack he could have gotten him if Charleston could pull it off.
Last year lots of people said Mack would never come here, he will go somewhere more prestigious.
People on this board say stuff they canāt back up daily.
Will never understand why we would we want a twice fired retread that will jump at any P5 job as soon as possible.
For the record Iām content with Fearne, it was just more commentary that I think our fans sell our job short.
āNo way someone of Chris Mackās caliber would come to little ol charlotteā and then he ends up in a far less prestigious conferenfe than the American.
Also, if Fearne crushes it and gets a p5 offer he will jump too. We arenāt a destination job. No need to pretend anyone will ever want to stay here if theyāre successful unless we move into a p5 and start paying p5 salaries. We are what we are for now.
100% agree on the firs 2 paragraphs
Well some of ou most visible fans spend more time talking about what we cant do than focusing on what we can, so itās pretty on brand. Always in defense of the current leaderships decision making.
We have a top 75ish budget and people act like we are barely scraping by. It isnāt the amount of money, itās the way weāve been using it.
We are the best at excuse making thoughā¦
Thatās probably because other folks left and quit donating and buying tickets leaving a handful of us financing this dumpster fire, so yeah Iāve been pretty negative about it trying to fund scholarships and admin and grow facilities and NIL - I donāt see it given this fan base and community.
But at this point Iām just about done with this farce anyway so whatever.
Eh, if we bring better players itās not all lost. Not like we lost an All American. DJ ok for us. Heāll ride the pine for ISU. Igor is kinda hot and cold. They can be replaced. Its the new reality. We can adjust and adapt or continue to prove Yankee Sorensen right and be the Forty Whiners
I agree with the assessment of DJ & Igor. Both very good players for us but I doubt they would be in the rafters if they stayed here 4 yrs.
Soā¦if having NIL wonāt keep marginal players here. And we got all of those players without NILā¦why have NIL??
Just recruit those in the portal just looking for more PT or a bigger role and not necessarily a bag. They will play their ass off to try to get a bag and move onā¦like DJ, Brice, Igor, Jamir, etc.
But why throw money at marginal-to good players that if they turn out to be good for us we wonāt be able to keep with our NIL anyway?? Put that money into Evergreenā¦and concentrate on the overlooked/under utilized players that CANāT get a bag unless they get somewhere they can earn PTā¦and use THAT as our pitch??
Come here and get PT and become the player you think you canā¦and give yourself a chance to earn a bag at the next stop.
Just a thought.
Yep. But I do get NWAās point too. Problem is he wants 1988 back and the NCAA is making sure it aināt happening
Iām just not interested in a professional college model when our programs lose money. Itās
Stupid.
