If we had brought Fearne in for the 23/24 season from the outside I may say let’s go one more season and see what happens. I look at this as the end of year 8 and am ready for a change.

Just in general. Not you in particular, but I’m seeing some argument about us building something with our roster. Sadly in today’s world that just isn’t a thing. It’s about utilizing a group right in the year you have them

I agree. If a move is made the sooner the better. New coach has to go to work now. I’m sure our players are already being recruited.
I want to see a new style of play on offense and defense. 8 years is enough for me.

My guess is that a big part of hiring the new AD was to bring in a much better men’s basketball coach. Not sure I’ve seen a new AD keep an unsuccessful coach from the prior regime. Either way, I think we’ll know in a day or two.

Interestingly, we are 1 of 2 teams to win two games in the conference tournament (the other is conf champ) and the only team to play 3 games. FWIW

There is zero excitement about our basketball team these days. Even when we were 7-2 this season in conference…
It’s amazing where we used to be and where we are now. We’ve done just about everything badly the last 20 years.

That’s part of the reason I want Fearne out. I think people already made their decision on him by not showing up to games. We need something to get some energy back there, not the same thing for the 9th year in a row

Nothing about Fearne is enticing.
As soon as he officially got the job full time he shit the bed. Signed a terrible roster and laid an enormous egg year two. He underachieved with the talent he has this year IMO through terrible substitutions / minute distribution. He pissed away $300k on Mading only for him to be a complete bust. Are we really supposed to trust him with $2-3 million again next season?
chances are we will be rebuilding an entire roster again next season, so I doubt we have much to build on by keeping him.
