Bowling seems to do a good job against AAC competition but she gets absolutely obliterated against good ACC comp. Would like to see us give someone else a chance midweek
Bowling is mediocre at best. She has gone fairly well early in some games against several of the better teams, but once batters see her for the 2nd and 3rd time, she isn’t effective. Her speed is average, the ball doesn’t have a lot of movement, doesn’t have either a good rise ball or a change-up. With that said, coach didn’t have much to work with in the pitching staff handed to her
Bowling did not start against Duke. She actually did a little better than the lefty who did start. Both were not effective.

Thanks for the correction. I’m so checked out of midweeks I stopped paying attention that game. Thoroughly impressed with the job the coaches have done this year but midweek games are a clear weakness with this team. Glad they tried something new

Ladies take series, beating UTSA 8-5. Lord had a 3 run homer in the 6th to put us ahead.

Ritchie and Lord have turned out to be a potent back to back duo. Best since Boo and (IIRC) Krupit. Jenna needs two more homers to match Rodi’s output from last season.
UTSA looks like a team that may be playing their best to end the season and were certainly no pushover this weekend. I would not be surprised to see them and us both improve quite a bit next season.
