If we could do it without violating Title 9 (we canāt), Iād be in favor of taking a season off to allow a new coach just to concentrate on building a team. This is ridiculous.

Thatās crazy talk. All you need is 1 good pitcher to be competitive in the AAC. South Carolina will still be at the bottom of the SEC with our players.

And even farther down the SEC with 2024 national champs Oklahoma and runner-up Texas coming on board.

If we could get promising coach signed, alot of those girls may be back.

Just a reminder that when there is a coaching change, a 30 day window opens for the players in that program to enter the portal.
I hope you are right. I guess Iām looking at it as us building from scratch anyway and wanting to give a coach room to breath while they rebuild. Like I said, itās a moot argument anyway because of Title 9. Memphis had 1 good pitcher last season.
Maybe for a year. I think you might not remember where Charlotte was before Chastain. That staff has a proven ability to punch above its weight in the recruiting wars. Iām ambivalent as to how they do at South Carolina.
So, has the entire team entered the portal? Need to get a new coach sooner rather than laterā¦
Donāt worryā¦apparently even though we were a sh!t job for our entire existenceā¦4-5yrs of success by a coach, staff and roster that are no longer here have apparently and suddenly made us an attractive job despite little $$, little support and a substandard stadium.

I think you can take Wike off the list. It stands to reason that sheād already be here if she was coming. I also think Waters was unlikely. Weād have to pay a buyout and she makes good $ where she is.
This is all conjecture and guesswork, so it could be wrong. Iām wrong all the time. LOL
Georgia State announced their hire today. They fired their last coach on May 14th.

Iād take Breault out of that group. 4-5 years sheāll head back to Clemson for her Dream Jobā¦but replacing a Gamecock with a Tiger seems fitting !
I was a batboy for a middle school team my mom coached when I was in elementary school. I will go ahead and throw my hat in the ring
