At some point, its time for our leadership to seriously evaluate the football program, and our institutional commitment to success. Iām sure Kevin White is doing that. Weāve tried a football coach of every different background, and none of it has been successful. At some point, the issue is us, and the program. Iām sure Mr. White is on this already, but bad football is nothing but a money pit, and a stain on the university with an otherwise good reputation. Unfortunately, for the last 20 years we havenāt been able to fall back on basketball either. Something we are doing as an institution is seriously negatively impacting our results on the field, and I think it would be wise to seek the advice of ALL of our former coaches, people Kevin White trusts, and Coach Albin to determine why we struggle so much.

I think we went to fbs way too fast, and imo, we should still be an fcs program.
Athletic facilities are not supposed to be funded with state dollars, if I recall correctly. So, an arena used for hoops shouldnāt get state money, but often other amenities are touted as educational within the facility, getting around some restrictions. I donāt remember exactly how NC State did it, but weāre getting some state money for the expansion so it is what it is.

Ah well then in that case itās probably because the Hurricanes share the arena.
Way off topicā¦maybe another thread. NCSU is just a secondary tenant to that arena. Canes are calling the shots thereā¦ including all the new changes and development around it on the property.

Per the Lenovo Center wiki page:
Construction began that year (1997) and was completed in 1999 with an estimated cost of $158 million, which was largely publicly financed by a hotel and restaurant tax. The Hurricanes agreed to pay $60 million of the cost, and the state of North Carolina paid $18 million. As part of the deal, the Hurricanes assumed operational control of the arena.

3 wins 1st year. 5 wins 2nd year. (Yes, his team got 5 wins). ? Wins 3rd year.
Now we have 1 win last year and possibly 0 wins in year 2. We got what we asked for, a more disciplined team. As for me, Iāll take the wins, with effort being made to address discipline moving forward.
Major step backward. If Biff gets fired after 4 games in 2nd year, Albin must be getting close.
Biff got fired mostly because of the head-butting he and his staff had with Charlotte leadership, bone-headed public embarrassments on Twitter, and other potentially shady things behind the scenesā¦ not performance. Albinās program, from all I have heard, is squeaky clean so they are not apples to apples.

This is the 2nd or 3rd game where the team we lost to was so far below where we should be that they took a team picture on the field with the scoreboard.
Like many of you, Iāve seen us lose multiple FCS games when we are a good and established FBS program. Iāve seen us lose to UNCP (D2) and Wesley College that no longer exists.
Not sure what the disconnect is, but itās across multiple coaches, staffs and years. Something about our football program is dysfunctional.

Chennis Berry at SC State is a reach but dude is a winner and has some swagger.
Or do we take the young, hot, P4 coordinator route? Donāt know if any would take the risk here, 3 fired coaches since 2022 doesnāt scream āyou have timeā.
Might as well ride this train until the fiery crash. Probably have to give it at least one more year, unless White has someone in mind who is interested and definitely better. Iām just not sure who would want the job if we fire 3 coaches in 5 years. This just sucks. The choices are continuing down this path or starting over again. I donāt like either option.

I donāt think we have any other course but start over with TA. When I hear āIām not changing, I going to continue to do things the same was as I have and I believe I am rightā this is a problem. This sounds like a quote from Dabo. White should be at least making calls to contacts on his drive home from Citadel game.
If not Chadwell, perhaps one of his 3 staff members who are currently suspended due to suspected recruiting violations. 
Look at this unofficial depth chart. Why do we expect Charlotte to be improved? What players in our starting lineup or backup positions were ever productive at the FBS level? Yeah we return some players from last year so more continuity but those players we return were from a 1-11 team. There are really very few reasons to expect Charlotte to be improved.

Our returning defensive players were from a 1-11 defense lol.
We stick with this until the contract ends.
Iād say the odds of that are very low.
