AAC Facilities News 🏟️

In Ruston, they have the FEMA Shack. In Huntington, they’re going to build Covid Park. Both of them could only dream of the government cash that Memphis gets. Who do they think they are, NC State?

To be fair, all that state money is actually going to the city of Memphis, not UofM, for the upgrade of the football stadium etc. The Tigers are tenants at the Liberty Bowl and FedEx Forum, thus the piece about the two year lease of the former posted above.

clt says USF must be building an entire stadium of suites and loge boxes. $340M is absurd

All above ground. All in probably high water table. I can see it getting that high up $$$.

If they get that stadium built that’s going to be a huge recruiting advantage on top of already being located in the middle of the best recruiting area in the country.

That will probably push them into instant discussion of any future conference call ups.

He is not wrong. That would be a top flight stadium. Perfect size. Great layout and good amenities . I would be extremely jealous.

That’s a beautiful stadium.

This is our competition.

We have to have a stadium that measures up by then.

UCF built their stadium for $40 million. Inflation is a bitch.

There’s a reason it was “only” $40M.

Not impressed, If JRS get’s expanded to 30k we easily match this facility. $380 million lol.

That’s for everything. The site prep, practice fields, IPF, and the stadium. I can’t remember if they are buying the land or not.

I don’t like the huge end zone wing stands (reminds me of UNT), but I like the standing lounge area, and their press tower / suites look fantastic. At least on par with UAB. Looks suitably big time.

I’m so glad our campus is all brick, I hate the look of modern stadiums. Give me something like the Colosseum, not a modern fartbox with your teams logo thrown up all over it. Expanded JRS will age like fine wine

Exactly, classic always ages better. Hopefully we avoid building metal stands as well. Concrete looks and feels so much better. No bounce house for the Niners.

I honestly don’t like the USF stadium design much at all. The price tag just makes it worse.

That is one other thing I’ll give Judy credit for. She always built nice stuff.

A proper upgrade of the Rich could do even more for us.
