Sounds a lot like nobody wanted the job at USF.
USF has players and think they can win right now, they ended up with a bad record this year but have talent.
So they must think this coach can make it happen.
Hard to believe that Tulsa fired Montgomery. He was a good offensive coach, who had success and was always competitive. Tulsa is a very small private school, i believe the smallest or one of the smallest FBS schools.
Yep, Tulsa has an enrollment of 3,700+.
Kind of a surprise given they played in the CUSA CCG.
Thought it might be interesting to see what kind of staff Dilfer is putting together vs Poggi.
Update:
UAB - Trent Dilfer
Charlotte - Biff Poggi
ECU - Mike Houston
FAU - Tom Herman
Memphis - Ryan Silverfield
Navy - Ken Niumatalolo
North Texas - ???
Rice - Mike Bloomgren
SMU - Rhett Lashlee
South Florida - Alex Golesh
Temple - Stan Drayton
UTSA - Jeff Traylor
Tulane - Willie Fritz
Tulsa - Kevin Wilson
Thatβs an impressive list of coaches.
