Basketball Game Music

I’m in favor of any music that causes spartyniner to jump up and dance!

I have absolutely no recollection of that whatsoever. Was it popular at the time?

You were probably too young. It was the “senior song” for the class of 99. They played it all spring leading up to my HS graduation.

Negative. I graduated highschool in 1996.

BAH! FAIL on me!

OK, so you were too old! All of us senior girls were obsessed with it (of course)…but it’s a bit weird. Sometimes they still play it around graduation time.

EDIT: I think I got you mixed up with 49X…I think it’s the license plate avatar… that’s why I thought you were younger.

Zeppelin Black Dog

before every Charlotte Hornets tipoff, they played Kashmir by Zeppellin…it was pretty intense hearing those strings as the guys shook hands

yeah, you’re thinking "Wake Up"

Bulls on Parade and Killing In The Name Of would sound SWEET as a band arrangement, esp. KITNO

Note: if you’re not familiar with the music… NSFW. If you hang out on Metro’s side of the aisle… probably not safe at all.

But seriously, especially during the verses of KITNO, that guitar is badass and would sound great with a full band doing it.

easy Lew…Rage is on my IPOD, I actually like some of their stuff alot…Good running and mtn biking music. Their politics are comical but they make a good sound.

its impossible not to like “bulls on parade”

COME WITH it NOW!

Yeah, Killing in the Name would be phenominal.

I would come back, re-enroll in school, and dust off the freakin’ drumsticks if we could make that a reality.

the coolest pep bands play odd stuff like this and throw down…

Judy wants vanilla pep music, vanilla dancing, vanilla cheerleaders, vanilla uniforms etc…so don’t get excited

hell it took 20 years for the Goldshloggers to finally get their hair out of a bun. :tumble:

If somebody were to find and donate the arrangement… could it become a reality?

Whatever you do, don’t play “Sweet Caroline”. Davidson pussiecat fans think they own that song for some reason. They get all excited everytime they hear that at other games. Don’t believe me? Go to their message board. They have threads dedicated to hearing that at other sporting venues and suggesting that they audio guy was obviously at a Davidson game and got the idea and wanted to play tribute to the pussiecats. It’s really sad.

The funny thing is Sweet Caroline is about Caroline Kennedy. Unintentional comedy I guess.

Just heard the Texas fight song on the radio and it took me back to my early days at Charlotte. It’s still strange hearing that song. I’m glad we have a new one though.

How about these 3 for starters?

I need to see if I can find the Texas fight song. Hadn’t heard that in years.

Funny thing was, there was a time when I thought Texas stole it from us.

anything by led zeppelin…I get sick of the rap after awhile but some of it still good enough to get the crowd into it though.
-I suggest Kashmir (Chase Utley’s intro song as well FYI) :shades:

Ever hear the Notre Dame fight song? Quite similar to what we have now as I recall…

Very easily, yes. As long as it’s realistic (the song choice I mean).

We seriously have THE coolest band director you’ll ever encounter.

I’ve been saying that ever since I got here…glad somebody else noticed it
