We could see as many as 8 C-USA teams become bowl eligible and as many as 3 not going bowling despite being bowl eligible.
They need 78 teams to fill the bowl schedule. Right now it looks like it is going to be real close to getting 78 six win teams.All teams that get to six wins in C-USA should be headed to a bowl. Jerry Palm has eight C-USA teams presently in bowl games.

Also the more attractive bowls (like the Belk) will be outside the CUSA tie-ins, so pull for all P5 teams that are bowl bubble teams to lose the rest of the year (particularly SEC).
I mean, I typically pull for all P5 teams to lose, unless theyโre playing UNC-CHeat.
App beating USC would help if we want SEC to lose bowl eligible teams. Even stillโฆprobably will root for USC.
Either way we will know a lot better who to root for after this weekend. Including if it even will matter if we cant get past UTEP.
So hoping we can make it to the Belk Bowl!

This may be a year where the best thing to happen is we just miss a bowl game. Against teams .500 or better we are 0-5 and have been out scored 231-115. The Marshall game will tell us a lot as it relates to bowl participation.
Stop being realistic!
Stop being such a wet blanket. A bowl game is a major improvement and shows progress. It doesnโt matter how we get to .500. Doing so is an accomplishment that will help recruiting.
