Major needs a 2 year extension for this. I’m serious. Let him have a team with Ogbueze and Sullivan being able to play alongside Lester, Pierria, Willie, and other role players.

So that WAS Kate Upton I saw driving down my street yesterday.

Before we cream our jeans, let’s see if we can find out why he played a minor role at Florida and why he transferred out. That said, this appears to be a hugh get for AM and staff and one they needed.

It looks like he didn’t mesh with the Florida coaching staff, if that was on him or the coaches who knows, maybe he was home sick, maybe he wasn’t right for their system… Regardless you aren’t a top 50 national guy coming out of high school without some talent, hopefully Major knows how to use his talent as well as Sullivans in 2014.

What set Ogbueze apart from other shooters, though, was his ability to knock shots down from distance off the dribble. His body control in the air was impressive, routinely coming off high ball screens and adjusting his torso in mid-air to square up. The junior point man’s physique continues to develop as well and, frankly, is ready for the physical pounding of Division 1 basketball right now. At most showcase events, defense is not in many people’s vocabulary, but not with Ogbueze. He had a stellar defensive effort against Purvis in the first game of the day and his tenacity on both ends of the court was impressive. That being said, Ogbueze’s greatest strength is his ability to score![/size][/font][/size][size=18px]
[font=Arial][/size][size=12px]NOW: The Florida signee may just be one of the best scoring point guards in the country. Ogbueze has an excellent right to left crossover where he elevates for his patented midrange jumper. He is an accurate 3 point shooter, but his bread and butter are the midrange game off the dribble. He hasn’t shown he deserves an extension just because of one recruit coming in. I’m still not convinced he knows how to coach the players he brings in.

The hole in the lineup (aside from the fact that the transfers can’t play next year) is someone to split time with Thorne at center. Need more height on the block and Thorne likely still won’t play much more than 25 minutes a game even if starting. I really really don’t want to see Clayton waste his time playing center too much.

Probably need a center, and maybe a juco post player if we can find one (or another senior transfer that can play right away) for next year.

I very much would like to see a 6’10 rebounder added. Am not asking for a star - just someone to spell Thorne. A Juco would suffice. As we discussed the other day - Jermaine Williams, Kenkay Jones, Chris Nance, someone like that would work.

what baffles me is how you continue to defend dudes like spears who is, by all accounts, a giant douche. everybody who met him would tell you the same and you defend him and state that it is major’s fault. maybe nickerson is homesick. how do you know anything about what goes on behind the scenes? these wild accusations you make up with no facts. i would never give the benefit of the doubt to a player that tried to fight an opposing team’s coaches. deuce did transfer because of playing time no matter what you state.
