Anyone know what is going on in the library? The 5th-10th floors have been closed for what appears to be a renovation which is desperately needed on most of them.
Hope it doesn’t take too long, that place gets crowded at times, which is why I take over entire lecture halls and study for exams there, much more fun.

That place was originally Gus’s Original Forty-Niner Restaurant. It opened in '69 and I believe it closed in 1995. It was “the nice place” back in the day, serving continental food and fine wine. I went to several fraternity formals there. I am sure the building needs a lot of work, but I would love to see it come back as a nice place, maybe even under the same name.

Roped off the area around Belk Plaza to make that fountain or whatever they are making there. They also roped off an area off to the side where the counseling center was. Anyone know what is going on there?

Love that they put graphics on the trains, was afraid they wouldn’t or worse but other schools graphics on there. Good to see, excited to see how it changes the area!
