It was quite a physical game. Despite great defense effort, our boys were short handed due to injuries. Niners suffered a shutout 0-3 at home. The team will travel to face EZU in Greenville tomorrow. On a ighter note, it was great to see 4ever, Mr. H. and his son at the game tonight. It was also a treat to witness the “passionate” side of 4ever at the rink. I hope to see you at the rink more often this coming season. I am pretty sure the team realy appreciated your “sideline manner” and your support, 4ever.

Did anyone get a yellow card?

No “yellow cards” were issued. But, in my opinion there should be a few reds because of fighting. ;D
Let’s hope our boys get better luck going to the coast today. This is one of a few where our boys took more shot on goal but could not find the back of the net.
The next and final home game is Friday 02/06/15, face off at 7:30 PM against the Demon Bacon of Wake Forest. You should come and hang out with us at the last home game of the season.
EZU must have scoured all of eastern North Carolina for goons to put in their defensive end. On the bright side, the biggest and dirtiest of them took a well deserved puck to the leg and had to be assisted off the ice by a couple of team mates. I was very surprised he didn’t elbow them in the face from force of habit on the way to their bench. >:(
I have no idea what 89 is taking about so far as my sideline manner is concerned. Just whispering a few sweet nothings to one the goons.
Reminder that beer is available at the rink for those who wish to partake. ;D

I think the “goon” you referred to is sasquash #6. You did have some fun with him. I believe if he was not hurt. He would go after you at the end of the game or at least give you a hip check in the car park. ;D
Niners beat Demon Bacon 5-4 tonight for the first Win of the season. Elon comes to town tomorrow evening. Face off at 9:30 PM at Extreme Ice. See some of you after the match at Transamerica.
Beat the “bird”

It was a tough game as the bird scored 2 goals in the first 5 minutes. Niners fought back to claim second Win of the season. Bring on the tarholes of UNC-Cheat.

Glad to see the hockey team have ssuccess! My older brother played for the team for a couple years when we wwere both in school at Charlotte around 2008-2010: Battista, #77
He worked at extreme ice for a while too. I went to a few games there, was a fun place to watch and cheer on our niners!

Welcome to the board, LzeroKI. Stop by tomorrow to watch Coastal Carolina get abuse and I’ll buy you a cerveza.
The Rec. Services Dept. should start their own 49er Club to raise $49 or more from alums to give to, just like the AD Office.
Come to think of it, I’m surprised the Academic Office doesn’t have a 49er Club. I guess they don’t like money.

I might bring the kids out to this one. How is the seating there? Plenty of room or a lot of standing?
There are plenty of seats. And, if you are willing to show up a half an hour before face off, center ice seats are available. Do bring jackets for the kids. There are quite a few Niners as well as visiting team’s fans for you to hang out with. This may help ease the pain for not doing so well with other sports this year.
