Charlotte Hornets 🐝

Not aware of any minority shareholder running a team. Anyway, why would MJ start doing something under those circumstances when he hasn’t done anything as the principal owner.

clt will support the hornets once jordan is gone

Once he is gone as majority owner. Will still own a stake in the team.

Now we have to get them off that crappy Bally’s pay network.

I figured that Bally’s parent Diamond Sports Group going bankrupt will fix that.

Why do NBA players make so much money when nobody watches the games? Women’s basketball is getting better ratings.

I checked out the tweet. There was no supporting evidence.

I find this absurd and not believable in the slightest.

See that NBA national games average 1.6 million viewers, while it jumps to 4.3 million for the so-called holiday games. So some are watching.

BTW, been reading there’s a nascent movement to request the NCAA to seek a standalone TV deal for the WBB NCAAT instead of the current deal that lumps it in with most other sports championships.

If the moneys there the deals will come.

Very few people watch women’s basketball.

That’s why these are the WNBA CBA numbers.

The salary cap for an entire team is right around the NBA veteran minimum.

KEY CBA NUMBERS
Salary Cap $1,420,500
Roster Size Requirement 11 to 12
Player Supermaximum $234,936
Player Maximum $202,154
Player Minimum (3+ YOS) $74,305
Player Minimum (0-2 YOS) $62,285

If the revenue was there these numbers would be higher.

clt says espn is trying to keep the nba afloat, but the players are killing it.

watch darts!

What in the hell are the Hornets doing? Three wins in a row and four of the last five. That’s not tanking!

On the Hoop Collective today they said the Hornets are locked into the fourth worst record (most likely) so the coaches are just letting them play.

Hornets could have had another NBA All-Rookie in Jalen Duren. Way to go MJ!

So frustrating.

And that’s not a knock on Mark Williams who started to come on late in the years.

My point is we could have had them both.

I’d say the results are still in the air in regards to trading Duren. The Hornets received 5 future draft picks.
