Yup, and you can’t even use the “small market” excuse anymore… they just make bad decisions… (kind of like another pro team in Charlotte)
If the Bucks, Cleveland (with no LeBron), Sacramento and OKC can all be in the top half of their conference no reason why the Hornets can’t. They need to clean house and get someone competent in there.
Hornets are dead to me until they get on a basic cable channel.
They also need to make better decisions in the front office.
Bally is part of Spectrums lowest level sports package along with stuff like espnu …its super cheap and despite what people say…it almost never goes out.
The way the NBA and NFL are these days - life’s easier ignoring it. Especially in charlotte. I want them to do well but damn tepper is an ass and the NBA and the NFL money wise are just so insane. I hate supporting things that have basically priced out normal fans. Given tickets are cheap now because they suck,
I haven’t had spectrum in over a decade and will never go back.
I am not spending any additional money to follow the hornets. They need to be carried on a non add on channel and preferably one that isn’t both bankrupt but also about to fail completely.
It’s cheaper and easier to watch the Niners.
I say the same thing about MLS. Insane that I have to have Apple TV AND a premium subscription.

Fair, but FWIW, you only need the app + the MLS subscription. Don’t need an Apple+ subscription. I got the MLS package for free from T-Mobile last year so I paid $0 to watch Charlotte FC.
However having your games all housed under a low market share streaming app with a required premium subscription is an absolutely stupid way to grow your brand / fanbase.

More ways to watch the Hornets! They’re 1-9 over their last 10 games, which is the worst record in the NBA over their last 10 games. Despite the ineptitude, they won’t have the first pick in the draft unless something funny happens in the lottery.
Or possibly more likely… they finally get the 1st pick this year in a terrible draft class.
Or we’re one pick away from getting the next Wembanyama, Shaq, Dwight Howard or Anthony Davis.

No idea if it’s a good trade otherwise.
Both of them seem dependent on the acquired draft picks to determine that. Or, if said picks will be packaged for a deal at a later date.
Honestly for Hayward, I liked him. But with his lack of availability over the past 5 seasons or so, I’m surprised they got much of anything.
