Charlotte Hornets 🐝

I think we need to try to draft someone who we believe can actually contribute this year, a veteran college player, ala Jaime Jaquez.

Interesting read in which Mourning doesn’t sugarcoat his opinion about Shinn and the trade that sent Zo from the Hornets to Miami.

As of today it looks like the hornets used the #2 pick the best that they could have.

Could be seeing each other to more during the regular season etc if speculation about George getting traded to the Knicks cones to fruition.

They need to quietly explore trades for Lamelo and move on.

He’s not durable enough and is a loose cannon.

Get value for him while you can.

How about Tyler Herro?

Doesn’t Herro stay hurt just as much as Ball?

Yes but he doesn’t allegedly drive over kids feet. So it’s a net positive.

Darius Garland for Lemelo?

How does that grab you?

Or Lemelo for Coby White and Alex Caruso?

Both those trades work in the trade machine.

As frustrated as I am with Ball’s injuries, they’re not going to trade a potential perennial all star for a non-all star.

I agree that they won’t easily trade him, but he has only made one all-star game it was as a medical replacement. We aren’t talking he got in by the voting process.

I know PJ Washington definitely glad to have landed in Dallas, especially with it looking like the Mavs will wrap it up tonight and face the Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Hence why I said “potential”. His career is on a really good arc. What he does from here is anyone’s guess. Does it continue to climb? Or, are we already at the peak? We’ll see.

Just a reminder…Ball won ROY in 2021 over Anthony Edwards and Haliburton.

Niners offered SF Dillon Jones (2020), who ended up at Weber State. To say it would have been nice if he had been a Niner is an understatement.
