Reminded that the Hornets also drafted C Jalen Duren in the 2022 draft along with Williams and then shipped the former to the Pistons. The former Memphis Tiger definitely the more durable of the two so far.

I don’t mind them trading Williams. I don’t think he’s THAT good and he has durability issues.
I still don’t understand the Nick Richards trade.
At least they got a center back in Nurkic I suppose.

I think he would want to stay in Charlotte for a few reasons. Sure he’s far from home and playing for a team that lacks true identity, the same could be said for Steph Curry. I think that’s where Lamelo wants to go, to be the face of a franchise instead of the franchise being the face of him.
He’s on a huge contract that lasts many years. Clearly this team wants him around. It would be weird for him to go elsewhere honestly.
