I like Borrego - but getting smoked in the play-in two years in a row might get him canned. This team just comes out flat way too often.

I like Ball. He was better than I thought he was going to be. But we still need to hit a home run in the draft to take it to the next level. We still need that franchise player.

PJ Washington is probably gone and so is Gordon Hayward because his contract is so big, but he’s injured so much he has missed 58 games the last 2 years

We need a center who can block shots thats priority number 1 this offseason. Next off we have 1 first round draft pick and 2 second round draft picks. We can pick up another first rounder if the Pelicans beat the Clippers tomorrow night because, of the Graham trade. The huge issue which everybody knows is our defense is SO BAD its worse than our football team this past year its that BAD. The future is bright though with Ball, Bridges, and other young players on our roster. Hey at least we aren’t Sacramento Kings fans they’ve witnessed 16 straight losing seasons now that must really suck.

The Lakers need shooters and Westbrook’s contract is shorter than Hayward’s. As much as I don’t really want Westbrook in Charlotte, a trade sort of makes sense.

I think so. I think they got a lottery protected 1st round pick in the Devonte Graham deal. So the Pelicans made the playoffs & are not in the lottery. That should mean their pick goes to the Hornets.

Correct, they get the Pelicans pick. I think worst case scenario the Hornets will have the 13th and 15th picks in the first round. They also have the 41st and 45th in the second round. Hopefully they can turn one of these into a serviceable center or package a couple of them to trade for a center.

I noticed the Hornets were at the bottom or dead last in points given up this year, is that because of the style they play? Seems like they have the old D’antoni Suns run and gun offense, the defense needs to be better if they want to move up in the standings, not sure if it’s a coach thing, a style thing or a player thing.

They just don’t have a good defensive center to protect the rim. They have to try to double team & help out in the paint which leaves shooters wide open for threes. Their defense is going to suck until they get a good or at least decent rim protector.

Oh PLEASE, not D’Antoni! They are already bad enough on defense (and not just at rim protection).

I want Atkinson for his proven ability to develop talent. Plus I think he got a raw deal somewhat in Brooklyn cause he had them on the right trajectory but was not allowed to finish the job.

Kupchak was with the Lakers as a player and then an executive for many years.

They might be interviewing D’Antoni because they can. He’s not coaching now. The other candidates are assistant coaches for teams in the playoffs.

I see many people mention Atkinson. I can’t tell he had anymore success than Borrego or Clifford. I’d almost rather them go with Sam Cassell and take another chance with a first time head coach.
