NA has a point.
Coastal Carolina has better football facilities than Charlotte.
Plus, Coastal is already in the design phase of a South endzone upgrade and an indoor football practice facility.
It’s time for the Charlotte AD to step up!

CCU must not understand that they NEED to wait until the timing is right…
Or the timing is right for them. Also easier when you have a big donor bankrolling the operation.
Big donor plus winning and not being held to to antiquated rules = easier to get shit done
As for performance - yes you can win faster which is why Lambert got fired. He had some of the worst recruiting classes in FBS and flipping a roster takes time especially when the HS season last year was so messed up. We have been winning at halftime in our 3 losses so we are close. We need some better coaching and some better players. Now we step up in talent which means we have to up our game more. We are still on track for a bowl game and that would be success.
Whatever is in it and whatever time table is in it worked for Aresco and the AAC - that’s all I need to know.
I know for a fact some aspects of the plan are currently being reworked based on AAC feedback. No idea if that was football stadium or other items.
I’m more concerned about where funding is than I am about seeing the plan itself. Would love an update on what’s been raised thus far.
We need both disclosed. The plan and the funding.
And honestly, Centene needs to be part of the funding. They have way too much money and are way too close to campus not to. Plus they are likely to become a big employer of our grads.
Who says they aren’t? We may be waiting on one of these large donors to finalize a large donation? We have been meeting with some seriously heavy hitters.
I want to see it but some of y’all are a bit obsessed to see something that obviously was shared and impressed the people that in needed to.
I’m disappointed it hasn’t been shared yet as well - but have a feeling a bit more patience will be rewarded.
Should I repost the meme I made? Do I need to do Cuba Gooding Jr and Tom Cruise doing “SHOW ME THE MASTER PLAN”?
Cause I can. My Photoshop skills are godawful, but I would do it to prove the point.
We do not need to see it unless we are donating enough money for an IPF, new soccer stadium, or something large. I have been told about most of the plan and it has everything we need, but lining up donors behind closed door. The AD knows who has the money, and as much as we would like to see it made public it will not change anything
Not to get too far off topic from the thread…but how do FANs get behind a vision if its not even communicated outside “closed doors”. It causes unnecessary speculation.
I absolutely believe in Mike Hill & Co, this move to the AAC confirms my belief. But why not advertise the goal/aim/vision for the future? Thats what leaders do…Transparent leadership generates more buy-in. What am I not understanding…?
Even if a lot of progress has been made on funding the plan, the math has obviously changed. A lot of needs may have changed as well. Not back to the drawing board but perhaps some of the wants are now needs. Maybe we now have bigger wants than before. Time is not a factor at all. We want to see it, I get it. But I would rather see a fully or partially funded plan rather than some pretty pictures of facilities that we have made no progress on just for the sake of showing it off. This thing is not going to be paid for by $250 donations. There will be a time to contribute but not until those smaller donations can push us over the top.
We have an amazing celebration ahead when we pull all this off. Enjoy the ride.
Communicating something that is not guaranteed to come to pass is worse than no communication. Either the plan is not funded yet or they are waiting for a specific date and time they feel is best.
I would rather them NOT release any plans that are not fully funded because I hate vaporware with a passion.
In my opinion the fact we got the AAC invite earns our leadership some additional patience.
This is a message board. Having and expecting patience is downright ridiculous. If a fan wants to see the plans, show that fan the plans!!! No one else is gonna hold these state paid (?) employees accountable except the public.
I wanna see a mock up of the football stadium and Halton upgrades, that’s it. Release 2 slides. Thanks.
Maybe the play is to wait and make it a second big event? Like, we just got in the AAC, so everyone is donating. If you make it a second event, people will donate a second time. If you wrap it all in one, you get less money. I have no clue, just a train of thought.
Bob Bowlsby, commissioner of the Big 12 conference said that the Big 12 may not be done expanding and may be considering another round of expansion, it he decides to include Memphis and SMU from the AAC, then how excited are we about our move “up”, the Sunbelt with their potential additions will look like a better fit in terms of geographic rivalries and better competition, I am not excited to begin with by playing UTSA, Rice, and N. Texas, I am excited about ECU, Memphis, and S. Florida, but honestly I am more excited about playing Coastal, Marshall, App St, and I understand that the T.V. contract money is larger, but for how long if the AAC loses Memphis and SMU
I think there are other options that the Big12 would possibly take. I think one of Memphis and SMU will leave, but Colorado State and Boise State are also very attractive.
Even if they do leave, playing with institutions like USF, Tulane, Tulsa, and UAB is more fitting with our school than Troy or even Marshall. Let’s just hope that the other American teams start to produce more wins.
I know the sunbelt is espn but after the cusa is gone there still has to be the $$ rungs of a ladder. You poach down. If aac needed a team I don’t think the sunbelt is off limits. No one is leaving the aac for the sunbelt but all would leave for aac if they could.
Coastal has a ton of super seniors so they may take a step back to earth next yr. App is playing with Satt’s players with 15 super seniors starting
We would not have been in the Sunbelt, that conference is all wrong for us. Our presence might have persuaded Marshall to stay, but if not we would be rebuilding with the remnants of CUSA.
CUSA is going nowhere with all those exit fees, a golden ticket to FBS, an autobid, and a share of the CFP money.
I am still thanking our lucky stars we got promoted to AAA, the Belt is now AA, and CUSA A ball (if Marshall and ODU leave).
There is a difference between dreams and vision. A poorly funded plan is just a dream. That doesn’t get us anywhere. A funded plan gets more money in and that’s a vision. I know y’all are tired of hearing me say it but there is a science behind capital fund raising that nearly every large nonprofit follows. We are following it. We are likely waiting to hear from a few big donors and tweaking things based on AAC feedback. Then it will get released publicly and we all get to contribute and help us get it over the goal line. If the AAC is good with our plan and fund raising then we should be too. It will come.
